We are Eleise and Lawrence & Nyh - A young family from the south of England. Like many people the pandemic gave us a shake up! While watching hours of Mark Weins in Thailand - We had our “Ah ha” Moment. We decided we wanted to travel.
Enjoying working for ourselves, we didn’t want to give up our business and decided it was entirely possible for us to do both. So we set about making it our lifestyle to work in the UK for a month, and then travel for a month - month on, month off…. until our little boy Nyh goes to school! We want to inspire people that you don’t have to up-sticks, sell all your belongings and leave behind family to be able to see the world.

Do you wear underwear underneath your mundu?.... I'm asking for a friend! ☺ 🖤
Yes
Why won't we, that is the bigger question. XD
Is Nunni chetta , the uncle aunt ??
Mundu in tamil is head turban, Veshthi is under garment like Dhoti.
No my guy, I let my balls loose.
This is not issue how you wear Indian traditional dresses, this is important you tried it.
👍 Like from Delhi (India)
Thank you so much Bablu 😊 🖤
Mundu is the traditional dress of not only to kerala, but entire South Indian states.
Mundu is specific to Kerala only. Other states have diff styles and names AND this dressing is not restricted to south Indian states.
@@essee3984 i think , its in sri lanka aswell
@@dendaGulliLapoch it's called Sarong in Sri Lanka.
@@essee3984 oh now ik , everything we learn daily about cultures , that really nice !!
@@essee3984 nope. In Karnataka we call Mundu and everyone wears it even in capital Bangalore. Its also called lungi if its double layered. Know ur country n dont say only one state has it.
Kochi is not a city. It's a feeling ❤️
Well just because you are from kochi
World biggest bird sculpture don't Miss it in Kerala 🤗❤️
🖤
I’ve realised after moving to a different country that how rich India is. Everything is easy accessible & you’ll find almost anything you want online or in retail. Biggest blessings are the hospitals & how health facilities are available to everyone in the country. I just miss my beloved country India 🥹🇮🇳
Who asked you leave it
Most of the foreign travellers explore only Dehli, Mumbai, Agra but There is more than this If you like Hill station, Mountain peace then visit Deerjeling, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Kashmir, Ladakh & Northeastern State. Have a safe journey ahead.💕
🖤
@@parttimetravellingfamily best sunrise view in kullukumalai munnar try not to miss it🙏🙌
@elon musk agree bro
@elon musk lmao no Himalayan states are generally more crime free than any other Indian states
@elonmusk687 All States r Best bro🔥🚩🇮🇳
Hi. Thanks for sharing your excitement and joyful shopping experience in Lulu Mall.
I’m Japaness. I stayed in Kerala for 6 years and a half and I LOVE Malayali people, their culture and their land.
I believe someone already mentioned to you before me, but Mundu is the traditional dress which is white and has a golden border. People wear it as formal wear on celemonies, and festivals.
(when they have “functions“)
Lungi or Dhoti are the ones for casual use at home or workmen’s dress. We often see working men in orange dhoti.
People wear dhoti/lumgi at home, often after showering in the evening.
There are many colours for the border, too. (but not golden colour)
I had a few friends who were in their early 40‘s, who said they have never worn western style trausers in their life.
Cochi is very different from other citirs in Kerala.
The nature and food culture can be different between South Kerala and North Kerala(Malabar Region).
The climate in hillside is very different and their nature is also very beautiful.
I hope you will have a chance to come back to Kerala in dry season, especially from Jan to Feb when they have NO Rain, and the backwater boat ride can be so enjoyable! ✨😉
Wish you a wonderful and safe journey ahead!!✨😊💗🙏✨
You have caught the gist of it. Kudos
Well explained
Thank you guys, appreciate you family for exploring our State, KERALA. Our Country, India. Have a pleasant stay.
🗿
Finally Kerala series is one love you guys❤❤❤❤❤❤
🖤🖤🖤
South India gets rain in winter, thats called the retreating monsoon sometimes.
The main monsoon rains start from Kerala itself sometime in May-June and travels in north-easterly direction towards mainland India. And brings rain till Aug-Sep!
🖤
the toddler look ravishing in kasavu mundu 😍✨and the way he imitates his father saying "nanni chetta, nanni chechi",... as a Keralite .. it is a huge pleasure to know that our land's culture and hospitality made you feel satisfied 😊😌🫂
Awwwww 🤩as a Malayali this was wholesome to watch !! Do explore more and more of India though because it's a tiny planet in itself...happy travelling to you guys ❤️🌟
😂🤣🤣🤣Hahahahaha its your own place and u need some foreigners validation for it?!
As your trip is about to end, I’m going to miss watching you guys figure out how India works!! I hope you guys make another trip to India before nyh goes to school !!❤❤
We will definitely back soon... we have so much more to see. 🖤
Thank you for these positive, fun, and interesting vids. It's been raining for weeks here in Vancouver, BC, Canada 🇨🇦, so very uplifting.
Him saying "nandi chetta..nandi chechi" was so darn cute thoo😍😍
😅🖤
India is also known for its wildlife. You should plan a trip Kaziranga National Park in this winter. Along with local birds there would be huge numbers of migratory birds comes in these winter season. And of course Kaziranga is known for world famous one horn rhino. Why Kaziranga is good for tourists. Because it has lots of water bodies and lots of grasslands. Tourists can see more wildlife compared to dense forest. Binoculars and powerful zoom cameras could add more fun to your experience. Kids probably love Elephants.
Thank You and Keep spreading happiness.
🖤
lol at the #fruitbae sign! You're so right Indian people's work ethic is amazing. Sarah's grandad is Indian and his story about where he is today (business owner) is amazing. Loving your videos!

Thank you ☺️ 🖤
great vlog as always! as a keralite I had a huge smile on my face the whole time watching this! Lawrence and Nyh looked so great with the Mundu and was happy to see your enthusiasm for wearing it
Thank you Siddarth... we had a great time! ☺️🖤
Props for wearing a mundu! Wearing it properly takes practice and soon becomes muscle memory. Lots of people start out wearing a belt to hold it from falling off but the fact that you're doing it going commando in a mall deserves an award!
The way you guys enjoy and respect culture is really really nice. Especially the effort to learn the local language is something to give an applaud.. Hope the trip was good for you guys. Hi toh Nyh ❤❤
Lawrence you are totally rocking the mundu 😎. Do visit the house boat as well. The Ayurveda treatment is also a must try in Kerala. You guys will love the food in Kerala. Hope you have a good trip. Cheers!!

Glad you visited Lulu mall. Its very close to my parents home and we go there often. I've stayed in UK too for few yrs, haven't come across such malls there. Also the kind of food court and variety of food you get at kochi lulu mall is good. Happy to know you enjoyed the place and even tried mundu. Just came across your channel recently, will be following for more journeys. The vlogs bought back memories of Lake garda, Italy etc for me. Happy journey 😀
Thank you Priya 🖤
Khas-khas is poppy seeds.
Falooda always has basil seeds, which in india are also known as tuk-maria, something like that.
I assume maybe they didn't know what it is called in English.
Basil seeds are like chia seeds. They swell up when soaked in water or other liquid.
Welcome to the "GOD'S OWN COUNTRY"

Thank you so much Hashu 🖤
I loved when you said INDIA keeps surprising me.....well well well....welcome to India my friend😍
I love the spirit and your genuine attempt to tie the mundu on yourself and your boy. It’s actually very simple to tie but someone has to show you the first time around. If you’d ask one of the gentlemen in the shop they would have happily tied it on both of you.
Bro, you lot are living India rather than living in India. It’s a country to be experienced. I hope you’ll have fantastic times and bring a lot of sweet memories with you when you return home. ❤
Thank you.. we're having a great time 🖤
@@parttimetravellingfamily Really glad to hear that. And also a suggestion, if your time allows, to visit the Northeastern part as well. It’s full of greenery and mountains. You’ll have a completely newer experience of India. Stay safe and keep updating. Love your videos. ☺️
Amazing video, love from Kerala ❤️ Loved how you wrapped the mundu, even though it wasn't the best way to wear it, you still rocked a mundu 😍 Absolutely enjoyed the video.

Everyday I miss my kochi.. A desperate software Engineer at London from Kochi... :)
And an FYI brother.. From 2010 onwards I used to visit London every year as part of my job and so I know the difference clearly where kochi and where London now.. London feels something great in my initial days.. but not to offend any British guys.. London or UK is nothing infront of Kochi.. I keep saying to my wife almost everyday I miss Kochi.. Tones of reasons..
Thank you for visiting Kerala Sir !
Wish you and family a happy and pleasant stay :)
