Your white album is actually in amazing shape for an original! White colours on any record cover are hard to take care of and there’s only that one stain you said in it and the split! I’d say an almost VG+ rating
Hi Mark. The red album is a retro rainbow pressing. They used these labels from 1983-87. They are among the harder ones to get. I love the vinyl version of #1. The packaging is among the best of the compilations.
FitToBe TieDyed Wow thanks for the info on the red album. I'm glad I was able to get the red and blue free just for mowing someone's lawn! And yes I agree about the 1 album. I just picked it up not too long ago and I really like the packaging as well. I like when they add booklets and pictures and such. Thanks for watching!
Wow.....great Beatles collection! What a great neighbor to let you enjoy going through his collection! And you picked some awesome ones! Fantastic video Mark !! MATT
Mathew Street Being paid in records is an awesome deal. Especially when you're like 13 years old ha ha. Glad you enjoyed my collection of Beatles. Hopefully there's more new Beatle releases in our future.
Really enjoyed this, Mark. Always love seeing people's Beatles collections. I wish I could go back a couple of decades when vinyl was still cheap and you could find Beatles records in every other thrift store!
Let It Be was very heavily counterfeited in the US mid-late 70's, when United Artists license to distribute the LP ceased. The LP went officially out of print in the US until 1979, when Capitol bought out United Artists. If your copy of AR 34001 does not have "Bell Sound" in the run out area on at least one of the sides, then sorry to say you have a counterfeit.
You do have a great collection of Beatles lp. The nice thing about your collection is that a lot of your lp are mono . And I don't have some of those lp in mono like you do lol . well done . I know that you were saying that some of the covers are in bad shape . But I would not let that bother you . It is just like Paul ... Fit to be tie dyed says you play the lp not the cover lol . I like that . I do like your Canadian lp nice . The first lp you got was a good one to start off with that your parents got you . I think you have a very nice collection great video Mark take care .
Beatle Brad Thanks for checking it out Brad. I'm surprised you don't have those mono copies. I thought you probably had every Beatle release around lol. The nice thing is that mine are really in good shape for their age and I got them in a box of other miscellaneous records for cheap at an estate sale. Bonus!
I am always adding to my Beatles museum lol . I have a record store in town that has them it is just matter of time win I do get them . But you did a good job .
Beatle Brad A very late reply but I agree with the cover thing! I have a Gold Parlophone Label Please Please Me second Australian press and even though the cover is Poor Condition the Record would be Very Good Condition
Mark P. I remember when i was 13/14 yrs old having The Beatles 1962-1966 & 1967-1970 in Red & Blue Vinyl. and when you showed The Beatles Love songs that was my first Beatles record ever, thanks for bringing back old memories I wish i had those original albums. But i do have all their CDs that are available to the public except the Decca Recordings.
not sure if you guys gives a damn but if you are bored like me during the covid times then you can stream all of the new movies on instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my brother lately =)
Hey Mark.. you have a strong collection of Beatles albums. Of course you know it broke my heart to hear about you opening the sealed YELLOW SUBMARINE! It's great to see the BBC packaging though, as I have not opened mine yet!
MeanMrMayo Thanks Joe. Now that I have the 2 vinyl box sets I don't know that I feel the need to look for originals anymore. Maybe just the Capitol releases would be cool to get all of them though. Still wondering if they'll put out a vinyl set of those someday too or not. As for opening Yellow Submarine, I was a lot younger then and was excited to hear what an unplanned record from 1968 sounded like. LOL.
I don't think there's anything bad about it... it ain't no historical artifact, it's even considered to hardly be a real beatles album since it's mostly old songs and soundtrack. If you buy your records to *play* then there is no shame in opening up that album to play it, as long as you're damn careful
i collect mostly 7inch vinyl of the beatles. their first single, ps i love you-love me do might be the holy grail of music collection and their first album, please please me, 1 Uk press
Are the covers of `Love Songs` and `Rock`N`Roll Music` manufactured of thick cardboard, like records of the 60s, or thin, like all records from the 70s? When did Capitol switch to thin envelopes? In 1971?
Hi Mark, excuse my question if you have already covered the subject, The Beatles In Mono cd box set? I prefer the vinyl set, the cd set, (I think), it's bland! Apologies if you have covered. I will have a look through your vids!

Earliest copies of Abbey Road have the white drain cover on the road. Later pressings have the drain cover cropped out.
Really enjoyed this, Mark. Always love seeing people's Beatles collections. I wish I could go back a couple of decades when vinyl was still cheap and you could find Beatles records in every other thrift store!
