The hut was burnt down in 2006 and re-opened in January 2008 after being rebuilt !! Not sure you would want to live there in the depths of winter !! I live between Mansfield and Merrijig and never get tired of the views up this way !! Thanks mate...always enjoy your 4WD trips...and thanks for looking after my back yard !!
Craig Willis Thanks buddy and you’re welcome. That would be an experience in the depths of winter. As long as I had enough wood to see me through. You live in a beautiful part of the country. Well done.
Janet Hall Thank you. Really appreciate it. Sorry for the delay with the vids. It was ages since I last posted. Life just took over and I did a few trips with the family. Should be back on track now 👍
At 14 minutes you said you were going to cook up, nothing gourmet. A damper comes to mind, quick and simple and you have to expertise now. You don't need Steve to guide you through the process. Lol. Enjoyed the video, keep them coming.
Fantastic spots George. I've never been to Craig's hut before. Or any hut for that matter! I've been all around Australia but never been through the high country properly! Pretty sad huh? Once this bloody virus is gone i will definitely make a trip to the high country and see all these beautiful places. Plenty of timber down for firewood! Always love seeing that. Hope you and your family are well and staying away from others. Hopefully this lockdown won't last too long. I'm still working full time but our hours will be reduced soon. It's getting very quiet. Thanks for sharing megale.
Jimbo Jones Hey buddy. Glad to hear you’re still working. Helps keep the sanity. I can’t believe you haven’t been to any huts. I think you should start planning and knock off a few on your first trip. They are great places to go and see and also find out the stories behind them. Some of them are truly fascinating. We are well thanks, hope you are also.
@@UncagedExpeditions that's good George. Yeah I'm good too mate. Looking after the folks. When this is all over I'm taking the cruiser straight up to those huts! No more procrastinating! Cheers mate.
great vid George we camped there 3 years ago in june man was it cold snow on the ground in patches roaring fire cold beers best way to camp absolutely love the high country good 4wding and camping .
Cant believe this day and age certain people still have the audacity to leave there rubbish laying around. Makes me sick mate. Hats off to you for cleaning it up
Matthew Warren It really is pathetic, isn’t it. Unfortunately these people exist and they will never change. I am a firm believer in karma so it will get repayed to them someday.
Both yours and Ronny's vids were up in my subscribed list George...I haven't watched Ronny's yet. Always a pleasure to see/hear you and what you get up to. Take care mate.
Hey George! Another great video as always mate, such a beautiful part of the country. It’s a dam shame mate that it sounds like it’s going to be a while before I am going to be able to get up-to the high country, Due to the Nasty virus going around. “Bugger” Anyway mate not to worry! I will say it certainly was great to see an uncaged expedition video pop up, instead of having to watch the continuous reports of covid-19 on nearly every media platform. Thanks George! Keep em coming mate 😀😀👍👍
CraigT's Adventures thanks buddy. Unfortunately it will be a little while but hopefully not too long. It is a crazy time at the moment. Everywhere you look you see something about this virus. We do need a break. Sorry it took soo long for the video to come out, hopefully should be back on track to get them out a little quicker. Cheers 👍
@@UncagedExpeditions One of those rare huts that is relatively comfy with a good clean space & roaring fire . U can camp just outside or if you are there alone or with small group even sleep inside if freezing out. Pit toilet as well. A great spot.
