Dagon is obviously educated and very intellectual. Seems like a really nice guy. I just started listening to Inquisition not too long ago and I am a fan!
Dagon is such a unique person. It figures that Inquisition are not only a great but also very unique black metal band. I love listening to his voice, his answers. Everything you ask him he truly thinks about and mirrors it with a dignified, meaningful replic.
I remember the first time hearing inquisition I saw them live and looking around on stage for other members because it sounded like there was five people up there ,they sounded fucking solid for a two piece 👍🏻
Heavy Metal did for Thrash Metal ----> Thrash Metal ----> did for Black Metal Thrash Metal ----> did for Death Metal ! HAIL Thrash Metal ... HAIL DAGON \m/
Mercurozel Nikolaj If he was caught with CP back in 2008, especially what they accused him of, he would have and still been in prison. The charges were dropped 10 years ago, so he wasn't guilty of possessing CP. A month ago I believed that Dagon was a pedophile, until I look at the case in it's entirety.
I saw them last year in Devilstone (a metal open air here in Lithuania) and even though I was so tired that I could barely stand I just stood there struck by the power, the strength with which Inquisition performed. I've seen some strong bands, some veteran bands live (like Vader for example) but none of them looked THAT strong on stage. It's these two guys against the world -a and they're winning. Truly and unbelievable experience.
my favorite thing about Inquisition are the subtle layers coming in and out of the overall sound. sound beneath sound. an under current moan and groan humming of the void. the sound of the universe.
*Great inspiring guy & band ( or duo ) =) who genuinely loves Metal, Thrash Metal needs to be respected indeed, imo if any style of extreme metal is not rooted in Thrash it has absolutely no power.*
I totally agree with Jason Weirbach. Thrash metal needs to be respected even if other metalheads don't like it. Thrash metal made Death and Black Metal possible...period. I'm a metalhead since I was 9-10 years old; now I'm 40+ years old and still a metalhead and I saw how thrash metal was born and how it developed and later how Death and Black Metal came to be known.
This is a great interview that covers a lot of ground. I wish their older stuff wasn't so hard to find, because they're a very consistent recording unit. I'm really looking forward to seeing them here in Seattle in a few months.
Should have taken the time to credit the legends of Colombia, Parabellum, Blasfemia, Reencarnacion, Astaroth, Gloster Gladiattor, Herpes, Organismos, etc etc.
I love that this guy is really making an effort to speak slowly and clearly to the interviewer, who is clearly not very good at English. Very nice of Dagon.
dUDE ARE YOU CLOSE MINDED IDIOT - DRUGS ARE IMPORTANT FOR THE HISTORY OF MUSIC IN THE WORLD ,NOT ONLY IN BM - GO AND READ HOW THE MUSIC WAS CREATED FROM NOTHING , THE FIRST MUSICIANS WERE THE SHAMANS OF THE OLD TIMES WHO USED DRUGS TO INVOKE SOUNDS AND TO TRANSFORMED THEIR MIND IN DEEP STATE , IN OUR DAYS ALMOST EVERY GREAT BAND HAVE A MEMBER WHO USED DRUGS !DRUGS ARE GREAT POWER , JUST LOOK WHAT CROWLEY DID AND WHAT HE SAID ABOUT DRUGS , THE PROBLEM IS WHEN YOUR WILL BECAME WEAKER THEN THE DRUGS YOU USE ,SO DRUGS BELONG TO MUSIC AND ESPECIALLY IN BM AND EVERY DRUG SHOULD BE LEGAL TO USE AND EVEN THEY NEED TO GIVE IT TO EVERYONE WITHOUT TAKING MONEY ,DRUGS SHOULD BE FREE FOR EVERYONE TO USE WHEREVER HE OR SHE LIKES TO USE !DRUGS ARE PROBLEM ONLY FOR WEAK PEOPLE ,BUT EVEN THE PROBLEMS ARE WORTHY - YOU ARE NOT PHYSICALLY IMMORTAL ,SO DRUGS COULD GIVE YOU GREAT THINGS,BUT THEY ALSO WILL TAKE IT FROM YOU - ITS THE PEOPLE CHOICE WHICH MATTERS - TO SACRIFICED 10 YEARS OF YOUR LIFE OR NOT !
great fuckin interview - i've always liked this band, but i have a new level of respect now. dagon gives some of the clearest and thoughtful answers i've seen from guys in these genres. impressive.
I knew Inquisition ruled, but this guy is one nice dude. No rockstar or blackmetalstar attitude, just being friendly and thankfull for playing metal for a living.
I saw Inquisition headlining and they were the best live show i've ever seen... They destroy any other band on the stage and there's only 2 of them, I hope they never get a bassist. Also awesome interview
yo soy de colombia y estoy 100% de acuerdo con ud. Esta banda es excelente por que si, no por que sea de colombia. Y ademas, dagon es realmente de USA, solo fue que vivio en colombia desde niño.
Yes, yes, Santana in drums. I was see to J W and Santana in Ozono bar (Forever under, demo) live - Cali (Col) (1995??) For me, the best live of Trash metal music...
I'm sorry but I am having trouble understanding your broken Spanish over the sounds of this American black metal band I am listening to. Maybe you've heard of them, they are called Inquisition and they are from the United States of America. Pretty cool stuff. Also, I think they're are probably more Jews in Colombia than in Texas since you're so concerned.
My left ear is pleased...
Dagon is obviously educated and very intellectual. Seems like a really nice guy. I just started listening to Inquisition not too long ago and I am a fan!
"What Heavy Metal did for Thrash, Thrash did for Black Metal and Thrash did for Death Metal. Thrash Metal needs to be respected"
Couldn't agree more!
Met Dagon after a gig in Winnipeg. A very humble, nice guy.

He's really smart! I respect him even more now
Yeah. I also was (pleasantly) surprised. Not that I thought he wasn't the brightest man alive but he is a appealing person with a clear vision.
Do you still respect him now?
Read CelestialEnchantments 432's post above, and the answers that were made to him.
Yes

This is why their records are produced so damn well
No other music influenced me like this.
This guy.. geniune bad ass. Im a a HUGE FAN of thrash metal and black metal inquisition and this interview solidifies why.
Still are?
What a great guy.
He sounds like he has an American accent but his Spanish is fucking incredible.
He sounds from Seattle in English, while from Cali, Colombia in Spanish.
He looks like a manager at a pizza place.
@@MelodeathxTed😅
This is a fantastic interview. Dagon is such a great speaker and knows a ton about music in general.
Wow, great interview... even more respect for Dagon and Inquisition.
I was hoping he would speak with the cool goat like voice like on the albums.

Smart man, amazing band!!
Man... Dagon is such a smart and intelligent person. Hail Inquisition! \,,/
I fucking like the way as he talks. I respect this guy.

Once a metalhead always a metalhead. I despise those guys who see me with a shirt and are like " I use to listen to that band"
Best interview ever
No, he moved to Columbia as a kid and came back to the U.S. as an adult.
This is a great interview that covers a lot of ground. I wish their older stuff wasn't so hard to find, because they're a very consistent recording unit. I'm really looking forward to seeing them here in Seattle in a few months.
love this guy
Every1 should speak english like this guy. This is clearly english. He want to everobody understand him very clearly.
What a great interview. A very intelligent man.
Dagon is such a smart man!
Great interview! Good questions and Dagon makes sense with everything he says.
wow, so refreshing to hear someone speak objectively about metal. And yes, thrash is huge in what it has done for metal.
I'm seeing them in Auckland in three days. I won their signed LP. Sweeeeeet.
My right ear loves this interview.
He got rid of a bass player with drug problems. Good! That bullshit does NOT belong in BM.
Don't say that.

@CTCAC2000: Haha, you nailed it!
@@CTCAC2000😅
He seems such a nice guy.
WOW FINALLY SOMEONE THAT SPEAKS MY MIND!!!!
Very cool. Have never heard him speak regularly before haha and with no corpse-paint.
"Power Duo" explanation at 2:35 !
More bands should do the same : maximum power with a minimum of means.
Thanks!
I am so mad at this fucking pandemic. I want to see them again for the fourth time so bad! Ughh
Best interview ever Seattle Washington says hail satan
I had the same experience a couple of days ago, in Athens. It was incredible!!!!
He seems like a pretty humble guy as well. I want to see them!
Very informative
great fuckin interview - i've always liked this band, but i have a new level of respect now. dagon gives some of the clearest and thoughtful answers i've seen from guys in these genres. impressive.
I do not know why so many critics against this guy . he´s a very reasonable man .

All Hail the Ancient cult!
All Hails Inquisition!!!
I knew Inquisition ruled, but this guy is one nice dude. No rockstar or blackmetalstar attitude, just being friendly and thankfull for playing metal for a living.
@DVLZRX TY
La mejor banda de Colombia....
Best black metal guitarist out there 💪🏻
A true Artist
incredible interview and incredible band. right the fuck on man.
Dagon himself said he is american and half coloumbian. His father is american and his mother is columbian white columbian I believe as Dagon is white.
Es que los integrantes no son Colombianos, pero la banda si se formo acá y con influencias del metal nacional y suramericano.
For a columbian he speaks very well english
4 dislikes? What the hell. Hail Inquisition !!
Yes, yes, Santana in drums. I was see to J W and Santana in Ozono bar (Forever under, demo) live - Cali (Col) (1995??) For me, the best live of Trash metal music...
Krieg, Grand Belial's Key, Demoncy, Leviathan, Krohm, I Shalt Become
To name a few...
His name is Jason Wierbach not Jason Wilson.
You speak very well in your native tongue.
What a cool guy!
@aocidicoa He said that Satyricon did that on "Volcano" (record drums analogue and the rest digital).
Give Dagon A show on Discovery Channel !!!
@Malagard Dagon isn't colombian, he born in USA

Can anyone clarify about that comment about "Volcano"??
@Blutroth He is also American.
11:05
Don´t worry Dagon we won´t! Hail Inquisition!
entonces son colombianos o gringos?? alguien me pude decir donde puedo conseguir musica e informacion de esta banda... esta buena.
None of that really matter because he's an American and all of Inquisition's albums were created in the states.
Jason Wilson, remember, Inquisition born in Colombia.
