I love the new custom comparison feature on the TPT dashboard! Now I just need to keep a better record of the changes I'm making. Congrats on reaching your viewing hours milestone! 👏

Your statements, and analyses, make so much sense. What strikes me is that once you hit an equilibrium with a concept (e.g., improved TPT dashboard, etc. which is why you created the various tools for TPT sellers, and then TPT updates their tools), you are always asking the next question: What if, ... When you ask this question, I think, "Oh wait, there's more to think about?!" LOL
I am interested in a slower walk-through of the updated dashboard features, thanks. I can more easily track changes by using an excel spreadsheet: as you suggested: date of change, product changed, change made. Thanks.
I actually understood all of this! 🎉 I don't know that I'll actually be able to use the dashboard to get meaningful (to me) data, but that's a me thing.
What you said about twice a day updates...if that is true, I certainly have no issues with it. I don't know why tpt wouldn't just TELL us that from the beginning. 🙄 ...Wrong idiom, but they often lack bedside manners.
And you are right, seeing updated sale totals throughout the day doesn't actually help improve my business or help me make decisions. It was more of a HEY SQUIRREL shout to my brain than anything else.

Part of that is me - I’m using Adobe Podcasting tools to clean up my audio. It seems to be doing a better job of making me easier to listen to.
Part of that, I imagine, is you. There have been a few TPT sellers who let me know that in the beginning the videos were over their heads but over time, they make more and more sense.
I like your use of the analogy to lacking bedside manners. It got me thinking. Manners are very culture-specific. Expectations can differ greatly.
Part of the issue might be miscommunication -
TPT didn’t realize it might be nice to let TPT sellers know the old product stats dashboard wasn’t updated live.
And TPT Sellers didn’t know that content usually needs to get approved; it’s not just one person communicating, but a corporation.
I’m curious about your “me thing.” I wonder if there are other people with the same thing.
What kind of data would be meaningful to you?

Exactly! Half the time i miss the Cha-ching because my phone is off. I do like checking sales in the day because i hope it leads to follows. I also had a couple products i hadn't got all the Google share settings correct, so knowing someone bought one made me keep an eye on my email.
I don't sell enough to justify checking earnings even twice a day LOL

Mike I always enjoy your insight on data. I do think this new dashboard will give us more insight. I’m curious what other hidden gems there will be as TPT further develops how they share our data with us.
Hey Fifth Gear! That’s an interesting comment. Is this the tip of the iceberg and TPT plans to continue to update and develop more TPT Seller Data tools… or is this the end of a development sprint and then they’re going to focus on a different aspect.
What would be a great hidden gem in TPT data. Hmm. Maybe this is a better conversation topic in a Facebook group because then other people can chime in.

So, I've just realized that UA-cam lets me know when you react to my comments, but not when you RESPOND to them. Oh my. Okay, so the "me thing" is my brain. It used to work a lot better, but then it went through some changes, and now things can be really complicated. I don't even know how to explain. Ugh. Anyway, data is beyond me and probably always will be regardless of who tries to explain it. It is not a reflection on anyone giving the information--it's a me thing. :)
I think I get it. My brain used to work a lot better too. Now, it is what it is. I just have to accept that’s how my brain works and learn what overloads my brain and shuts me down.
Interestingly, for me, hyper focusing on a logic problem (like data or creating data tools) brings me joy and helps my anxiety.
I find it odd that UA-cam doesn’t send you an email with my response. I thought that happened for everyone, so good to know!
If it makes your workflow easier, I thumbs up and heart comments that I’ve replied to. It’s my system of knowing which comments I need to reply to.
