I think a TPT colleague is one who is supportive of your business, maybe in a similar field/ niche, someone you can ask questions of. TPT strangers are all the other sellers you're competing against. TPT friends... maybe the ones in the FB group you use the most who you recognize their name, style, humor but the relationship stays in the group.
I think teachers in general have to be somewhat introverted in one way-- we can't get recharged by adult interaction LOL. But that also means if they don't make the effort to have adult relationships, they'll suffer. Imagine if all the staff were introverts!

I own a few FB (not TPT) groups. I manually admit members. I would not exclude someone because their store looks too basic or new. I had a hard time finding a group that allow members that haven't actually started their store yet.

That’s good to know (that it was hard to find a group that accepted members who hadn’t started their stores.) The flip side of the coin is that this TPT Facebook group would focus exclusively on TPT SEO and TPT data. So it’s not really geared for completely new sellers where diving deep into data might not be the best use of their time.
What’s your criteria for manually accepting members. Who do you accept and who do you block? See you in the next comment! Cheers, Mike

@SEOTpreneur I have membership questions they have to answer, but the big one is personal profiles only. When people submit a twist to join, they can also submit a post and the admin can see that post. So a lot of spam gets weeded out just from that.

@@TracyKMainwaring Hi Tracy. I understand your comment about looking at personal profiles only. What do you do when the personal profile is limited because they don't post much?

@learnwithpuzzles If they didn't answer the membership questions and I can't see anything on profile, then I don't accept them. If it seems like they might be real, I will message them. Teachers especially, do not like to put much on their profiles that are visible publicly

@TracyKMainwaring that’s a good point that teachers tend to have limited information in their profiles. They also go with fake names or second Facebook accounts.
Out of curiosity, are these Facebook groups for your music community or something else?
See you in the next comment! Cheers, Mike
