  • My son and I be ventured out on our first Winter camp of the season. We had to deal with cold Temperatures, as low as -11C and also some food prep and hot stove failures/issues. It was interesting to say the least. We still had a great time and enjoyed ourselves immensely. 🏕️🥶
    Keep camping!!

      thanks for your comment. I
May get a new higher quality stove. I would like to get one at a good price as well but they can be expensive. But it’s like anything you get what you pay for!

@@The-Exicutioner hot tents technically are waterproof but as you know not always true. You can treat the tent with waterproof spray that’s one option another is a canvas hot tent also treated 3rd is a tarp set up ( if not using a stove)

You can hook up at 20 pound tank to a buddy heater with a different connection. I’m sure you can find her at Canadian tire and I would run all night the white cylinders that run your barbecues.

Yes I might just do that and then not have to worry about changing the propane!

That’s what Steve does. He doesn’t play around with little cylinders a propane he goes for the 20 pound cylinder tank watch some of his videos

@@mikemckinley1031 yes I’ve seen him do that. My connector comes today so looking forward to hooking it up and trying it out and then bringing it with me next month when I’m out winter camping again! Thanks again for the advice. I should have thought of it sooner but with your help I’m ready for next time!!

We’ve camped at Mew many times, but never in wintry weather! What site were you on? Also, I would suggest that you par boil the potatoes at home - they’d cook a lot faster!

This was our first time at Mew Lake. It was really beautiful. But we have been to Algonquin many times. We are going camping again right before Christmas. We were at Site 111. Good idea about the potatoes, thanks

Your video is a little bit blurry

It’s the cold air causing that slight blurry look.

For God's sake, shut the door! Your letting in the cold!

Lol true but one thing about hot tenting the door is constantly getting opened and closed! It gets so hot from the stove so you open the door then it cools down quick and your closing it! The struggle is real!! 😃
