When that singer came in with the first note my jaw hit the floor. Sammys vocals are no joke.

My dad hated my music. I was sitting in his lazy boy one day watching the blue angels video. My ole man came up behind me and said whatcha watching. Told him Van Halen. He had no idea. He goes great song to a great video. I almost fell out of his chair. He watched the whole video with me. I taped the video, so i always had it. Happy i did. Love ya and miss ya pop.

I got into guitar, Van Halen and rock because of the Power Rangers movie in 1995. I asked my dad, "what's that song??" and of course he's like, "I've got a video to show you...."
Saw the Blue Angels video and been a Halen fan ever since. It's just what happens when you combine that video and dads lmao. Dad's will see that video and just think, "Hell yeah."
My Dad is a Boomer and is pretty much the same way about music --- one day he saw the "Jump" video and quietly said "this song is really good and that band is great"
this is no joke... One of the hardest rock songs to sing ever.. 5150 was and is pure genius .. Sammy rules.. these guys rule...
Sammy Hagar even said on the Howard Stern show that he probably can't perform it anymore because of the high vocals.

This is one of the hardest songs to sing. I’ve tried to cover it before, after the first chorus I run out of gas. You can hear he’s struggling a little, props for maintaining that pitch for the whole song
There's just no words to explain how hard that song is to get right. And you guys nailed it. As a life long Van Halen fan, and a guitarist of 29 years, it's very emotional to hear someone play that music at that level. Thank you to everyone involved and Rest in Peace Eddie. 🤘🎸

Yowsers ... as a life-long Van Halen fan, and a long-time fan of Singit Live, I have to say hats off to everyone, specially Cam on that epic lead break and Shaun for his incredible vocals. Hagar is a vocalist not many can cope with but Shaun was epic on this track - and not a hint of falsetto to be heard anywhere. That was incredible guys.

Being that Van Halen is one of my favorite bands, and, considering that I've listened to this song probably 100 times, this was special. I mean next level stuff. A banger. There is no one outside of Van Halen that could have played that better guys. Cam Halen on the Frankenstrat absolutely killed it. The singer hit those Sammy Hagar notes like nobody's business. I wish that I could see Singit Live live.

After 71 years on earth, I believe that Dreams is the pinnacle rock song. It is difficult to hang your hat on a song and say it is the greatest, but Sammy and Eddie came so close with this song that it's hard to find another. Thanks for keeping it alive.

I agree. As a lifelong fan of VH, there are 30 or 40 of their songs that are so good that I always believe that whichever one of them I happen to be listening to at the time is the "best" VH song. They are all that good that it is hard to pick a best or favorite. But when I'm not actually listening to a VH song and someone asks, or I just think about which song is their absolute best, Dreams is always the one I first think of. It is the perfect rock song. I love other VH songs for other reasons, but Dreams has some sort of extra special magic even above the magic that all other VH songs have. I think it is because the song itself is so well written, arranged, performed, and produced that it encompasses everything the great VH ever accomplished in a single song. There are other VH songs that have WAY better, more aggressive, more interesting parts to them but as a single song, Dreams is my choice for the best VH song ever released.

Pure brilliance. There is nothing this band cannot do. Every week, Darren puts this group together to do a new song, and they almost always outdo what they did last week. In this case, its going to be hard next week! This song is a high level song, and the vocals by Shaun, the lead guitar by Cam, and the rest of the band backing them up was exceptional. I will definitely be listening to this gem a few times tonight. Great job!
