Just worked out this happened to a 2010 KX250f. pulled top end down and still AOK no valve/piston issue. I got lucky 👍 wish I realised this shit happens 3hrs ago scratching my head trying to work out what’s going on 😂 good video 👍
Thanks for the tips on how to tell if a single jingle Honda cam will be off or not. Just built a 250r and it won’t start for the life of me. This is definitely my issue
What about a 2021 crf250rx?? Timing marks are lined up. But my lobes are not even. Not even close... the exhaust love is at like 10:30 11 o'clock (standing on left side of bike) and intake lobe is at the 3 o'clock position.
Hi, thanks for the video. I think I faced this problem on my crf250 07 '. May I ask you to replace the angle between the marks on the gear and the top of the cams on the new camshaft. Thanks
drz400 wouldnt start, went to check timing and my intake cam gear and done a perfect 180 on the cam. exhaust and intake cam where both sitting a 10'o'clock when the gears were timed on the marks.. also one of the valve buckets on the intake side was cracked and was stuck in the head? i think oil loss on the intake side caused this should i take the head off and inspect cylinder/piston and valves?
Thanks for the video it might held me diagnose my 2009 kx250f
Not sure about others, but the 2013 KX250F cams have a hole on the cam lole and cam gear that should line up.

Yes
It’s ridiculous to think that the manufacturers cannot redesign the cam sprocket. Mine has slipped rendering the engine useless.
