My college roommate and best friend was from Maine. Once I asked him, "What is the most fun thing to do in Maine?" He told me, "Honestly, it's the Eastport Pirate Festival".

Usually the salmon festival is the first weekend in September and the pirate festival is the weekend after that, I have not been able to go since 2018 but I have a video of the parade in my channel along with other footage from the breakwater and the whale watching boat.
It is a nice little town but nothing is going on....and very lonely there.....and on top of that, it is FAR from a major highway..
Out there US 1 is the major highway lol
