First off! Congratulations Charlie for achieving 500k. I went to NYC this past summer for my birthday. It's my mom stayed there during her highschool years coming from Texas ( Dallas). She eventually moved back to Texas after living in LA for some years with family. My cousin who was born in Dallas but raised in New York scooped with up and drove me through Brooklyn, Manhattan, North Bronx, through the Bronx, Uptown, Harlem and back to Crown Heights where I was staying. Love the vibe of New York. In Brooklyn where I was staying was Afro Caribbean vibes and in the Bronx it was Latin Caribbean vibes. All the Borroughs had their own vibes. Love every moment of it. 🔥🔥🔥👍

@Paul YYR what a load of crap, you rarely hear beeping horns in English cities. I can honestly say I was in West/Central London for 3 days this very weekend and I travelled on foot and the buses and I heard one horn beeped the entire times by a bus driver acknowledging a colleague coming the other way. We commented how different it is from Southern Europe and Asia. You just don’t hear it so I would love to know what cities you are referring to?
@Drama Queen - I travel extensively around the country and it is often commented by people visiting or relocating from overseas that you do not hear beeping horns in English/British cities or towns culturally by the inhabitants. So it really doesn’t matter what inner cities he is talking about it is inaccurate.
My mother lives there on Valentine and 181. I used to walk those streets at all hours of the day and night. The d train is close by. Nothing bad about that place in general. Never had problems. Yea it’s a little hoody for my tastes but it was fine.
Good old Getmany? Ik what u mean but there is a great joke in there... A joke 80 years old almost if you get me... Cheers :) P.s dont take it seriously
Charlie is chill AF! How can you drive through those areas without making a comment about any of those drivers, especially buddy in the honda at 6:50!!
Everybody that’s saying the bronx is looking good I get what you guys are saying it definitely improved from when it looked like a 3rd world country in the 80s-90s but man I can tell from being in these neighborhoods it’s very depressing. And the crime is insane again like it was in the 90s,It truly feels like your trapped in a concrete jungle foreal!!!
I miss the bx sometimes, its almost a year snice I left and glad I did. But Home is home, and somethings you can't down here like you can up there. No Ocky! around here.
The good ole Bronx I had cousins on Brown Pl, Sedgwick Ave and some on Trinity man I miss those break dancing battles in the 80’s we got to see up front, Crazy Legs, Buck Four and Baby Luv, Frosty Freeze I remember when they first started back in the early 80’s! Please take me back to those times!

Everything tells a story. Architectures are full of them but as beautiful and majestic as they can be, they can turn on you on a dime as well. Unfortunately, not everyone shares that same sentiment about beauty in the simple pleasures in life. I would be weary of walking in that neighborhood at night. The more ubiquitous technologies and materials become to produce and procure, the more we will see such a stark juxtaposition of "the working poor class" owning nice things like "luxury cars" and high end products. I know the rant is a little chaotic, but it wasn't that long ago only a select few would be able to own BMWs, Mercedes, Audis, etc. Now we have people who live in the "hood" and working class neighbourhoods owning such niceties. I haven't made up my mind about it all. Just an unsettling feeling.
