  • Since my new Behringer Neutron played up during the recent live stream, here is a shorter, re-recorded version of the track from the recent live stream. Neutron behaves this time, it just needed a firmware update it seems. The Behringers come in during the 2nd half, around 9 mins or so. Pro-1 doing an arp, Neutron with the fat bass.
    Recorded direct to DAW.

    Stunning. Glorious, lush, melodic and glitch-sprinkled. 🙌🏻👌🏻
    Would you ever consider doing a breakdown of one of these sessions, part by part, device by device? The only thing that ever distracts me when I listen and look at your performances is thinking “Damn, how is that conceived and put together?”. My Digitone waits to play like that!

    • @stateazure
      @stateazure  4 роки тому +3

      Thank you. A break down would be really tricky, just because I spend several days building the modular part. By the time I end up performing it, even I can't remember what everything is doing! I might do something like that for a simpler track in the future.

    great stuff again! How do you find the behringers? I have the neutron and like it for basses and because it has loads of utilities (mults, attens etc) for the eurorack. Btw, do you still have the perfourmer? I loved what you did with that one so wondering if we'll hear more of it. cheers, Marco

    • @stateazure
      @stateazure  4 роки тому

      Thanks, Marco! I really like them so far, plan to pick up the Model D at some point too and put them in a 3 tier stand. For the price I think they are no-brainers. I didn't keep the Perfourmer unfortunately, decided to get the Peak instead, while the Peak doesn't match the Perfourmer in sound it's certainly more versatile and leaves me with more space on the desk for other things.

    Hello!
    Great job as usual!
    I recently bought a Behringer Odyssey and am wondering whether to buy a Behringer Neutron first or maybe a Behringer Pro-1. Please advise me if possible. I have been fascinated by Berlin School style music for years.
    Thank you :)

    • @stateazure
      @stateazure  Рік тому +1

      Thanks! I don't own either of those anymore, but both sounded pretty great to me. I think the Neutron sounded richer/bigger and would be my preferred synth out of those two. I have the Behringer 2600 which I also think is great and suits Berlin School quite well.

    •  Рік тому

      Wielkie dzięki bracie!
      Bardzo mi pomogłeś, bo nie umiałem się zdecydwoać
      W takim razie 2600 będzie kolejny po Neutronie!

    which instrument handles the bassline? And could you share a brief setup for that sound? Love the jam! :)

    • @stateazure
      @stateazure  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks, Janis! Bass is from the Behringer Neutron, sequenced via the Five 12 Vector eurorack sequencer. I can't exactly remember how I got that bass sound, but I think it's 2XSAW waves with 1 of voices an octave lower (probably a little bit of detune between them), using Neutron's LP filter of course. Neutron is really great for fat basses like this.

    • @MrJemabaris
      @MrJemabaris 4 роки тому

      @@stateazure great, that's the answer I was hoping for. I got the neutron too but honestly never got such a bass sound out of it. I'll try again knowing what I'm going for now. Thanks for the fast reply. BTW the vector is awesome! I'm really looking forward to getting it, if only it wasn't that expensive. Then again, for the functions it offers I don't know of any similar products in the market right now. Wish you all the best!

    • @stateazure
      @stateazure  4 роки тому +1

      @@MrJemabaris Yeah the Vector is very expensive especially with the expander, but it's honestly the best sequencer I've used, and I've tried a whole bunch. Hope you enjoy it when you get one!
