Omg, Thank you Dr.! Im actually carving with no definite idea on its morphology theoretically, now I know what to do. Thank you for sharing this for free, and please do make more lectures on dental anatomy 🥺 your visuals are very helpful btw. Gratitude from 2nd yr DMD student from PH 😊
That’s the most useful video I have ever watched. Please keep up posting canines and premolars. I have a dental anatomy exam on Tuesday 😂 I hope you will have been posted canines. :) ❤
So happy you are enjoying these videos. I don't think the canine videos will be "live" before your test so here is the private link to the maxillary canine until it goes "live" ua-cam.com/video/dfmUJhy9lNo/v-deo.html Good luck with your test!
Great video! The only thing I am confused at is that at 10:40 , you say that option d is left mandibular lateral incisor, but shouldn’t the distal of a left mandibular tooth be at our right side instead of left? Shouldn’t the answer be b?
The cingulum of the mandibular lateral incisor is displaced to the distal. I like to visualize the tooth with the mesial at the midline and know that the side the cingulum points towards is the side away from the midline and the side of the mouth it is on. Others simplify this and just say that the side the cingulum points towards is the side of the mouth it is from. In this drawing, the lingual/cingulum is toward the bottom of the screen. In d, the cingulum is pointed toward the left and thus is the left mandibular lateral incisor. b and c are actually the same tooth just oriented differently, both have the cingulum pointed toward the right and thus are the right mandibular lateral incisors. hope that help clear it up 🤞🤞
Thank you for your videos! They are very helpful. But one question, the book “dental embryology, histology, and anatomy” says on page 224 that mandibular lateral incisors have more prominent lingual features than mandibular central incisors”
Good eye!!!! 😁 I will always recommend prioritizing what your school and assigned textbook says. 🦷📚 Once I release my molar videos you will see even then that the textbooks have different information for which cusps are the largest. 🤣
I've literally watched all of your videos! currently in my first semester of Dental Hygiene program and this has been so helpful!! Cant wait for the molars identifications! will you also cover eruption sequence of primary?? Definitely not my strongest point.
Thank you for making these videos, am hoping to apply to hygienist school and doing as much study as possible and delighted with discovery of your channel
Be sure to subscribe so you don't miss the videos on the maxillary and mandibular canines coming out later this week! 🦷
Comprehensive and clear; beautiful!
Comprehensive and clear is the goal! 🤩 Thank you for watching!
