- When you have a limited amount of honey to sell don't under estimate the demand. Everyone will want it! So get the maximum price for it by good presentation and the right size container. Come to East Europe. Beekepers are strugling to get even 2 dollars per pound for a very good quality honey. My dad is a beekeper. Gas prices are higher, equipment price is similar, and believe me, they sting the same. I know beekepers producing 3 tons of honey per year, and they cannot support their famiy from that. It's all about the market. If you have a good market, yes, of course you can do things. Here they don't sell honey in small jars, because of the jar price :).
Absolutely local markets dictate what you can do.
