As a 75 yr old DeadHead, I'd all but given up on hearing anyone who could lift me into his jam the way Jerry and the boys did. I only got to see him once, at the September free show in Steamboat, and with this pandemic, who knows if I'll ever see them again. No matter, I still feel very privileged. Out of all the times and places I could have been born into, I got to hear Jerry and the boys, as well as Billy Strings' Quartet, all in the same lifetime!
For real. I never thought I'd find it again either. And Ive been looking Since 1995. If you haven't seen them live yet, GO. Its beyond anything I've ever experienced
Just said this the other day. These guys have flicked a switch on inside me that I thought was dead. The Asbury show last week was confirmation of that. Generational talent here folks, catch them while you still can.
I only wish I could afford to follow them like I followed GD in the '70's. It takes so much more to do so much less when the road dwindles before me. Remembering the "Let Phil sing" tours, I'd love to launch, or see, a "Let Jared sing" tour. 🧡
I like the original words . It was pefect. It was raw. I could feel your words. The revised version may rhyme and all, but that ain't how you'd said it. I ain't feelin' it either. Thank you for loving music. You play beautifully. I love to hear you play. :)
This is the real f&ckin deal. Top notch musicians taking bluegrass to a whole new field. Been hooked since I heard em for the first time. Thanks and congratulations.
Dang, I'm really regretting being so late to the Billy Strings party! I could've gone to this show, I only live 40 minutes away from the Mish. Alas, I only discovered Billy a few months back, and am still exploring his catalog. What a phenomenal musician, performer, and writer! I'll definitely make it a point to catch the next show in CO! Talent abounds with this one!
True story: I was one of the videographers for this…🥲 This was the first concert I ever worked as a videographer/intern for Dan/Proton Media. It was pouring rain, cold as f, a grueling 18 hour day, and the most fun I’d ever had in the context of a concert experience. Prior to this night, I had been almost exclusively going to edm shows. This night though, and this show specifically, would not only open up a whole new musical palate/appreciation of live music, but would fundamentally shape the future of my life forever… A year and many more shows later, I ended up getting hired by the Mish as their official in-house video guy and did a short stint throughout 2020 as their marketing guy as well (until Covid crushed the industry 💔). I haven’t watched this in a couple years, but was going down a Billy Strings rabbit hole and this gem popped up, so it’s got me reminiscing... In many ways, this night was the seed that inspired a passion for filmmaking, photography, and everything my team and I are doing now with Tao Skateboarding. It’s a moment in time that I’ll cherish within a sacred place in my heart forever. Long live The Mish & long live Billy Strings! 🌄🤍🖤🪕 - Nate Block
This was almost how my life ended up, love it, first time listener, you made a new fan, thanks. Love Bluegrass, referred by Bluegrass meme page on FB. Blessed to be alive and not in jail today.

Hes got that old school sound with a modern twist that works very well. I dont like alot if the new blue grass, its not what i grew up on, and it doesn't ring like the old stuff. But Billy knows where its at, yeehaw
You guys should look into coming down to Stafford or Fredericksburg VA. I'd love to come see you guys. We get country bands down here every year. I don't know how much bluegrass though. 🤙
He must be singing about Angel Dust, I took it once and thought my head rolled off my shoulders and laughed at me as it rolled away, hours later when I got my head back I swore I'll never dust again but I did have a lot of fun losing my head to the angel
I wanna hear billy strings do a cover of oh death by ralph stanley, i think he'd fucking crush that song, here's hopin billy might actually see this and give it a thought!
#BADFUKKINASS accidentally struck gold finding this, some vid with a shit ton of views and this song performed on a couch with his friends who I assume were 😥 HIGH AF!! 🤣
I got here because he sang this in a back room at a party shortly after he wrote it ? Amazing. Sometimes rabbit holes are good !!!
I followed the same path. This song rips.

And days and days.....but its a great thing
I am on a Billy Strings binge!
Dear God, this incredible. Found this from reddit too. This song played solo in the backroom video is even better.
There is hope for music still yet. Thank you Billy Strings!
I think he is the best musician currently on tour
King Crimson (Robert Fripp) is on tour. Primus (Les Claypool) is on tour. Iron Maiden is on tour. Think again. ;)
They are all peaked and/or washed. Welcome to NOW
@@deadspread7717 amen to that

Just heard this guy perform at the Ryman as one of Tyler Childer's special guests. Never had heard of him but the crowd sure had. Very talented!
Mishawaka and Billy Strings, amazing show, amazing venue!
This is hands down the most bomb ass song on so many levels!!!
Happy to hang out with the finger-picking skills of Billy Strings and his awesome musicians.
I think it's flat picking but i won't disagree beyond that.
