  • I'm playing 🎹 random preset sounds from each sound bank of the Mini D sind the mod wheel and pitch bend. Just a general idea of what the plugin sound like!

It sounds sooo much better than I thought it would when they first announced it. LOVE the brass sounds and the plucky saws especially. Thanks 4 the video my guy 🙏

If AKAI keeps going at this rate, it will make it difficult for anyone to catch up. They are already far ahead of Native Instruments on many levels (sorry NI Fans!). I owned Maschine for 3 years - but got rid of it in 2018 and replaced it with an MPC One in early 2020 - which lived up to (and surpassed) the hype. Some of the updates (including the FREE 2.10 update) have been nothing short of phenomenal! The only real issues - at this point - are that AKAI has been rolling out some Firmware updates recently for MPC One that allow the new plugins (like the Mini-D) but cause distortion on audio outputs when used w/ USB audio interfaces - which previously worked beautifully. So, they'll need to finesse things a bit more in the Quality Control Dept.

It’s things I like about both NI & AKAI.. I wish I could merge the two‼️🤣🤣

@@whennatecreate - Agreed! NI has massive (and killer) sample collections, maybe the best in the world? Plus they've got some amazing VSTs, like Absynth, FM7, Kontakt, Komplete and and lotsa others. More MIDI Madness! It's an amazing and exciting time to be a home (or pro) studio owner/operator. Just incredible. Thanks for the perfect demonstration of the new sounds on the Mini D plugin! And the fact that "multiple Instances" of the plugins can be running concurrently - on different MIDI tracks is straight-up nuts! I can use this plugin for bass, horns, pads, leads and much more! That's more power than I can fathom ~ but also makes me think of upgrading to MPC LIVE II. When I bought the MPC One, I knew it was powerful - but didn't realize true power. They've squeezed so much from the processor, it's mind-bending.

Is this compatible with the AKAI MPC Studio 2 running with the latest MPC 2.13 software?

Can somebody tell me are these considered hardware or software sounds? When you buy something like the Mini D for an MPC One, and you put that synth plugin into the MPC, is it a software synth or a hardware synth then?...SBN RESONATE

It’s a software synth like all the others on the MPC. The virtual instrument is running on the MPC’s software and hardware. Anything you can buy and add by digital installation is software.
