Hearing stylosa talk about a new hero shooter with this much passion and excitement really brings me back to OW1 release and when I first started watching this channel :’) we are so back
Being 3rd person helps a lot. you can get some cool skins in Overwatch, but its 1st person, you can't even see the skin you spent $20 on. Rivals you see everything, big plus.
3rd person is the worst aspect of the game. Also game visuals, consistency, hero kit design, map design, are all worse than OW. I'm splitting time between the games it's shocking how poorly optimized and chaotic Marvel Rivals is compared to Overwatch. Rivals is only more fun because it's new.
If Marvel rivals continues to produce and maintain a great game, I’ll never even think about playing overwatch ever again no matter what they do at this point . They ruined the community a long time ago and showed that they were not willing to do what it takes. So good riddance at this point.
@@logandouglas9568what made even worse is that they canceled it a year before the games launch, but waited to announce it until a few months after the games launch released so it didn’t kill the games hype.
@hazardous8310 exactly the point I wanted to bring up. They just straight up lied to our faces. The "it was always canceled we may not have communicated that properly" corporate speak when they were straight up promising it in trailers didn't help either. How did they spend THAT long on the story mode and have it turn out that unfun though? It's mind boggling.
this means that hero potential is heavily limited, though. we won't see any cool surprise new character, everything is pretty set in stone as to what they can add.
Whats weird is that i feel every hero is like...strong in certain ways? (outside of Storm, she needs a buff) I remember people saying Wolverine was trash until they realise what was the best way to use him for what, which is to basically kidnap one enemy tank and shred them with your teammatges.
Storm may need some tuning, but I’m realizing that she’s not actually bad. She’s just best in a coordinated team. Also, the way that you expect her to play doesn’t line up with her kit. Shes less of a Pharah (I say as a Pharah main), lol. Shes supposed to stay with the team & is honestly kind of like a support in many ways.

Yeah, I’m one of them. Played the crap out of ow1. I have less then 100 hours in ow2, and dropped it permanently well over a year ago. My friends have also fully uninstalled overwatch since rivals came out, and have no plans of ever reinstalling
that’s me. Master OW1 support player. OW2 came out and I hated it…. awful… been wanting another Hero Shooter and Rivals is the one. will hit GM this week.
My wife was never particularly interested in the Marvel universe and was pretty skeptical when I suggested we try playing Marvel Rivals (we used to play a lot of Overwatch together). But now, just a couple of weeks later, we've almost completely rewatched the entire MCU-her idea, by the way-including all the Spider-Man movies. If someone had told me a couple of months ago that this would happen, I never would’ve believed it.😁
Why is it not dying off? It’s simple. It’s the superior product. This game has stolen the Overwatch playerbase from Blizzard like taking candy from a baby.
So how do you explain Overwatch not falling off? Lol Stylosa has been a certified Overwatch hater and is just farming views with whatever the popular thing is at the time. If people start liking Overwatch again he will be the first person to make positive videos about Overwatch.
Considering that the marvel IP has literally thousands of different characters they can use and pull from. I woundn't be surprised in the slightest if they regularly add several characters per season as the game continues. We already have some really obscure characters in the game like Jeff and Luna Snow so they can pull very deep. Wouldn't be surprised if 5 years from now the game has over 100 characters.
@@crazybunnigaming93 exactly, there is "we need to make money so we have to monetize you" and then there is EA and BliSsArD going brrrrrrrr moneyeeeeeeeeyyyyyy
Im thankful that Im not easily manipulated by games anymore so graphics and art style dont really impress me. The most important things are fun factor, good gameplay loop and overall very polished structure. Marvel Rivals is kinda meh to be honest but maybe it is because Im getting old and don't really care about games anymore that much even though Im still interested
@cheerful_crop_circle ... Your comment is kinda meh to me. You say you don't care about MR but then you say you don't care about games in general anymore... That's really a you problem isn't it? The game is decently fun and has nice looking characters. It's not a masterpiece by any means, but it's a damn nice game compared to most AAA slop on the market these days. It's definitely way more fun than Deadlock to me, a game which I spent over 200 hours on before it got boring. It's definitely way more successful than Concord, a hero shooter that died on release.
As someone who played Overwatch consistently since 2017, Marvel Rivals finally gave me a game to move on to. I was sick of Overwatch fumbling the bag for the 15th time, but there still wasn't another hero shooter to go to, now I haven't played overwatch in a month and I'm not even looking back. This is crazy
I’ve been a main tank in OW for many years but I’m preferring tanking in Rivals lately. Even if I don’t want to tank a particular game I can make peace with it since I get to play my FAVORITE HERO- THE INCREDIBLE HULK
@@pepperonionsoup5035as a tank main in both games, it does feel like the main difference is the number of tanks. This just change the tanking gameplay loop because more than one tank takes part of the tank burden off of the rest of the tanks, which makes playing tank feel less like a job.
@hydenmoody4373Yeah I do Magneto and Strange from time to time. They feel incredible to play. Saving teammates with strange shield and magneto ults feels so rewarding. Tanks feels like actual protectors in this game in saving teammates from certain death ultimates. In ow2 we were just there to eat all the cooldowns and blow up in an instant, then next update we became immortal raid bosses, then back to punching bags in the balance change.
@hydenmoody4373I also feel like tanks don’t have as much of a burden peeling and keeping everyone alive since it’s 6v6 and sometimes you got 3 duelists or 3 healers, and sometimes someone gets picked but the fight isn’t over. Sometimes I play strange and solo tank and still manage to take isolated fights and not have to hold my shield the whole game or get flamed by the supports.
Agreed. If theres a competitive community of this game it should be majorally grassroots with only small pushes from Netease instead of falling into the trap of pandering exclusively to sweaty players.
@GameBooAdvancePlus yeahh and it will cause overbalancing to certain heros to a point were the devs don't even know what to do with character like sombra from overwatch 2 and other heros
modern balancing is boring. If something is good, it gets toned down. Why can't they just tune up the underperforming stuff instead? It's fun to be overpowered. It's not fun to have that overpowered element taken away. Especially in a superhero game. Let everyone be super! Don't let everyone be "somewhat decent" please. Ignore the trolls that call for nerfs, buff everything!
They did so good with him, he makes me wanna hate him but they made him so cute that I get spit off the edge and I like "well atheist the last thing I saw was his adorable shark smile". Fucking love to hate him but hate that I love him
Marvel Rivals and the community redux of Marvel vs Capcom Infinite(called MvC Infinite & Beyond) is proof that Marvel thrives when handled by fans who want others to love it for being cool.
I think this game is good because of passion. You can tell the developers actually loved the content & wanted to the player to actually experience the hero.
We're getting all the Fantastic 4 for sure, they're previewed in the pre-release on the 7th. Blade and Ultron are maybe a little later. Hero bans have felt amazing. The fact that problematic heroes can be banned, makes me not as frustrated at slower balance patches. They should add it to all ranks for comp, even 1 ban at low ranks 2-3 at high ranks.
If you're enjoying a game and it feels fun to play, buying a skin doesn't feel so "wrong." That has a huge effect on players. The monetization isn't that different from OW, but it's so much easier to spend money on something when you're having a blast. Ask anyone who has ever worked a bar/club when an awesome band is playing. When people are happy, money will flow. If your game feels oppressive and greedy, people will feel guilty for spending money on it.
One thing that makes this game fun, it's quite trivial, but it's something that keeps me going. The kill is a shared stat. It's not just the person getting the last shot, it's everyone who contributed to the kill. It inflates the KDA for everyone but it looks good. It feels better to be 20/2/5 than to be 5/2/20.
It's not that, people are just shitting on OW because they've treated their playerbase like shit for years and have been getting by barely trying because there was no competition.
The main difference is that CoD and Battlefield have both released multiple iterations of their game over that period. In two decades, Overwatch went free to play with a sequel that was almost identical to the first game (with LESS features at launch than the original game) and pushed one of the biggest money rinsing schemes with an over saturated premium currency market. They took away the ability to earn skins in favor of this model, even for players who paid full price for Overwatch 1. Marvel Rivals is killing Overwatch right now because current blizzard isn’t about making great games, they’re about farming money from as little effort as possible.
They can coexist but it’s like comparing McDonalds and Burger King. Look at the lines. McDonalds is always busy and BK is trash. People will always consume the better product.
Coming from somebody who’s a comic book fan trust me marvels roster goes fucking deep they could put out four heroes every three months for the next five years I’m not even gonna be close to half the roster
Hell... Even if they made skins that replaced the base character for alternative versions (which they already said will never do to keep heroe recognition, Im just saying from a hyphotethical perspective) like, Red Hulk over Hulk, Miles over Spiderman, War Machine over Iron Man, etc... For every single character of the game... They would still have hundreds of unique characters to release as standalone heroes.
And every character will be half-baked, and unbalanced af on either side of the spectrum. Quality over quantity, though I wouldn't expect that from a chinese company.
@@Blabbybike we are here talking about hypothetical cases if they had the mannpower to release as much characters as they could with the best quality... Take your pessimistic take to another place thank you.
@@Blabbybike yeah I mean, I don’t wanna get too high of hopes but these game developers seem to be doing better than 99% of developers out there today so I’m willing to put a little trust in them that they’re going to give all the characters the time that they need to be a playable character in the game. But yes, like pix said we are purely talking from a hypothetical standpoint
Never been into Overwatch, not even pvp/team based shooters but enjoying the hell out of this one. As a 35 year old with not the best reflexes and a casual in every way I still get a lot out of characters like Rocket and Cloack and Dagger. like it feels that for every type of player they have a character that can realy vibe and work!
Overwatch: They should skip Overwatch 2 and go straight to Overwatch 3. Instead of a limited roster, they should introduce the possibility of adding heroes from all Blizzard games to the roster-similar to what they did with Heroes of the Storm but for Overwatch. In my opinion, that’s the only way to save this franchise. Marvel: They should add the feature Overwatch had to create lobbies for queuing up for competitive matches. It’s frustrating to lose games because people refuse to switch to other characters, like tanks or healers, when needed. On the other hand, I also miss the option to have competitive crossplay. It could simply be a toggle option, so it’s not mandatory. I play on PC, but my friends are on console. Alternatively, give me the option to use a mouse and keyboard on console.
I'm a dead by daylight player and this game has totally gotten my attention lately. I Rarely touched my dbd all month in dec. I only logged in to finish my winter challenges which you can finish fast. Then i would just go right back onto Rivals!
3rd person I think was a great call by them. You see the skins. I wasn’t sure at first, but when it clicked for me is when I picked up Punisher and realized he’s basically a Gears of War character. I hope they keep it up, they did a great job.
its been a month and im still so impressed by Strange's portal. Yes, its been done in games like Portal before but the fact that it SEAMLESSLY works inside a chaotic hero shooter is insane
What marvel rivals did 100% has started a ripple effect in the minds of gamers everywhere. We don’t want to settle anymore for half baked products disguised as games. We want quality content and finished games ON RELEASE. And as for all the game companies who refuse to evolve and change things up, this is a warning ⚠️

Character bans make the game more fun and much more dynamic for everyone. The more people climbing the more people are realizing how fun and interesting the game can be when the meta changes between matches.
i also love that as you climb comp ranks (im one above all) you start recognising people who play certain characters and are good at them and you ask ur team to ban them and then the enemies do the same thing to you. It creates variety, RIVALS and respect in matches that makes the game all that much better to play
Ngl i was sceptical with marvel rivals. Didn't start playing till this week. It's awesome for the most part. It gives me similar feeling to playing OW beta. I recommend to definitely play with a friend group. This game can be stressful in ranked with randoms with dps mentality... and usually they can't dps... all roles are super fun so please don't just stick to one try multiple roles and multiple characters. The more characters you know how to play the better.
This game has killed my interest in OW at all. You kind of hit the big point for me. This game isn't as Competitive, it is, but not as hardcore as what OW turned into.. The pros can have OW. Its their game now. Keep esports away from this game
I think one big difference that makes this game so fun is that we as players have the ability to change the maps because they are destructible/dynamic.
Even if they release 2 heros and a map they beat overwatch or at least maintain a high player count, anything more is just a blessing to the player base
Yea the games good but tbh they gotta fix the optimization issue because my pc cannot handle this game even in the lowest settings. I’m gonna get banned from comp because I cant load the game for the whole match.
use a performance mod from nexus mods and see if it helps. Without it my game was stuttering to 30 fps and not even getting 60, with it I don’t get lower than 120 fps
Before this game I was only a fan of spiderman, but because of this game it made me more interested in the marvel universe. I also love the fact that it takes inspiration from comics but I also notice some voice lines reference recent movies and series. It’s so polished. 5:39
What people are also not talking about is how much faster the games are. In overwatch it can take 20+ minutes in a game and as someone who works 60 hours a week I can't really keep up playing a bunch. But in this game I can play way more which makes me happy
It's hard to gauge the prices of Marvel Rivals season 0. It's only a half season and rumors is that prices are discounted at half. Next season may reveal real prices. We'll see how they actually handle a normal full season.
Mouse acceleration is the major reason why I did not like to play the game. Hoping they'll fix it soon, maybe I'll play it more then. However, I might still stick to OW mostly, because I actually prefer first person. I think thats partly due to having one less character on screen makes things easier to read. Rivals is hard on my old eyes, lol.
Optimization aside, the more you play the game, the more you see that these devs have probided (not perfect) but VERY effective solutions to problems that Blizz have ignored and doubled down on for years.
The marvel ip is just so powerful because it grants so much speed to developing new playable characters and that is a huge difference and advantage over the other hero shooters
The game is mechanically rich with characters that have high skill ceilings. Contrast this with all the shallow games out there and you have your answer to why it's not falling off. This is why the Souls series, Baldur's Gate 3, and even something like Among Us finds incredible popularity and success. It's not about how 'polished' a game is (looking at you Heroes of The Storm), it's literally about game design. Depth over width. Marvel Rivals has this in spades. The characters are allowed to be complex. The game design allows players to be creative. The game is also allowed to be, not trying to sound like a gooner here, sexy. Crazy that people like hot characters? No way! Like, this game has a ton of things going for it. It doesn't take incredible intellect to see why. It's fun, cool, and is rewarding to get good at.
@@Kirathian1234 1st of all its not complex at all, quite the opposite actually, in any shooter game performance and optimization comes first, theyre hosting tournaments already but the game has a major fps mechanic flaw and it was clearly never meant to be a competitive game. Skins are expensive, battle pass progression is slow, there are only 3 maps, and they just revealed new heroes coming to the game but no maps ? Theyre milking children who are glazing superheroes quite hard, personally i find the Marvel theme to be childish but thats just me. I dont even wanna talk about calling a game character sexy, thats a whole other level of wtf, but then again, its not that weird considering kids love their anime p*rn.
There's an important point where you were talking about the meta getting figured out over time, and that's how every additional hero increases the possible match ups, counters, and combos exponentially. OW 1 launched with 21 heroes, for a total of 54,264 possible 6 man teams. With 33 launch characters, Rivals has over 1.1 million possible team comps, and adding 4 more heroes for a total of 37, more than doubles the number of possible teams to 2.3 million and change. Naturally, most of those teams won't be viable, and so don't ever get played, but it goes to show the proportional complexity, and how hard it is for the meta to crystalize into a solved problem in a relative sense for each game. On top of that, there's a big difference between trickling one character at a time into an established meta vs. dumping 4 (or more) in a short time to more than double the chaos of a meta that isn't even fully formed yet. And that's before you even take into effect balance changes and seasonal bonuses doing their part to shuffle the deck. With all that Rivals may _never_ be able to settle into an established meta to the extent OW did, and it looks like that's what Netease is actually going for.
I tend to prefer FPS more than 3rd person for immersion reasons, it’s like I am the character as funny as that sounds and while that comes with its own highs, I think marvel rivals is best in the 3rd person for just the pure absurdity that happens, it doesn’t feel like you’re a part of it, it’s like you’re watching the chaos unfold and I find it hilarious
Have y'all noticed how suspended accounts haven't been a thing for roughly a month? I don't get a "thank you for reporting" screen anymore. Blizzard knows they're screwed.
It seems to be a game designed for casual players and not streamers and pro players, those guys alrrady talking about nerfin and balancing characters + plus role que, but casual players just look at the fun factor so they keep their player base.
And all the other companies have no one to blame but themselves, they stopped giving us what we wanted. We want content and we don't mean recolor skins or new purchasable skins. we want new content, new modes, characters (hell they don't have to be playable just some kind of lore content) we want actual gaming content but companies keep just trying to sell us shit it's not going to go well.
There are way more players on console than there are on PC. You are right about the sound, I don’t hear anyone talking about that, but something even as small as a wood sound when I shoot at Groot is so satisfying.
The ost of this game is another absolutely underated part of the game, the ambient music of the Tokyo or the Wakanda maps, the adrenaline inducing overtime ost of the Hydra base map, the menu soundtrack... Literally all the ost is so good that you really start wondering why most pvp games don't make use of proper ingame music.
@cheerful_crop_circle Why would you not care?? Music is also a part of the experience of the game, and a good ost always makes the game feel more inmersive/epic. Plus, if it's there is because people took the time and effort to compose and play that music for the players to enjoy it. For me the last minute overtime clutchs would not feel half as cool if it wasn't for the amazing soundtrack playing in the background.
I’m actually shocked this game hasn’t fallen off. Glad people are enjoying it. Great art direction, cool features, and not afraid to make their characters actually look good. We need to support games like that. All that being said, this game gives me the biggest headache lol. Tilting to say the least. Just so much happening all at once that I may be too old for these types of games. Younger me would have loved to sweat this hard
@@Lacerated1DJ3 I think I’m figuring out why this game gives me a headache and wears me out so quickly. It’s the FOV. There’s no slider. I played again last night and got not only the headache, but nausea as well. Only 2 games have ever done this to me: Marvel Rivals and Starfield. With Starfield modding the fov fixed my nausea. The fov is too close in rivals so it unfortunately makes me sick. Getting sick makes me not have a good time and tilt. I think if they add a slider I might be able to actually play it longer than 5 matches.
They just hit the formula SO MANY devs refuse to follow. Not a pay to win game, can earn cosmetics by just playing, outstanding presentation, no wokeism, a lot of characters, well refined gameplay, and good balance, for the most part. Combine alll of that and you have a successful game.
Not gonna lie, if things keep being good, I might spend money for a battlepass skin that I really like. Not in Season 0, though. I have to really love the skin, and none of the skins fit that criteria.
I like both games but the openness and craziness of the kits in Rivals makes me wish they stop balancing Overwatch to competitive pros and the loudest whiners. A lot of individuality and fun has been stripped from the kits. You can even see this issue with the lack of focus on lore and PVE which would appeal to casual players more but that side of the fanbase gets neglected. I also think Overwatch would benefit from hero bans because I’m sick of seeing the same characters every single game.
Before you say no games done portals like that, that’s the whole backbone of the game SPLITGATE everyone had portals creating new angles. Fun game to a degree I reckon that’s where they got the inspiration
He meant in the context of a hero shooter. Yes portal physics have been a thing in other games for years but in those games it was a core mechanic of the game. Relegating something like that to a single character in a way that fits the character's identity and flows seamlessly with all the other character abilities in the game is pretty notable imo
They said on discord that they are going to fix the optimization and performance issues (i believe it was on discord), saw some people online saying that it happens a bunch with engine 5 (if i'm not wrong, wuwa had the same or even worse issues at launch and it was the engine too)
I'm in gaming paradise right now with Marvel Rivals and Wuthering Waves 2.0. Finished MR battlepass and almost done with WuWa 2.0. Need to do side quests.
Blizzard has been more focused on adding in characters like Venture that were non-binary just to check a box -- and it is kind of funny they have done nothing for Venture ever since.
As a paladins player, I’m so glad there’s another similar game out there that’s actually good. I’ve always thought Paladins was better than OW… but not as polished. Marvels has both.
I played paladins a lot and I also loved the gameplay style, especially 3rd person, I feel rivals does a really good job too, thats why it's so fun. I think the ability to select power ups in paladins would be pretty interesting in rivals but it might make the game too sweaty. If they dialed it down to 2-3 optional perks for each hero it could make things fun
Dont get mad at me, but on my friends list on console it went from literally almost everyone playing it. To only 2 people. Most everyone is back on Overwatch on my side. Just some outside insight.
Ok, where's the why? Cause it sounds more like nostalgia/bitter ow users/people who don't want to get into a new game more than it sounds like OW is beating rivals in any way other than "I've been around longer" Overwatch is ridiculously dull .OW 2 is even worse. Im a TF2 casual who loved the game. I could never get into OW cause it was always so bland and boring. And now it's even worse
Why would anyone get mad? People have their preferences. It may not be your friends cup of tea or there might be a sunk cost fallacy, but I wouldn't get mad if your friends went back.
Interesting, my group of 8 played overwatch till Ow 2 and we all switched back, except 2 but they are stuck on nostalgia and slowly accepting rivals as their new home. Poor guys I feel it
overwatch shot themselves in the foot by releasing ow classic right before rivals came out because that game mode reminded us that even overwatch felt extremely clunky and poorly optimised when it launched
It had a holiday update introducing a new mode and skins. Then recently new characters were announced. Those 2 things aren't the only factors keeping the numbers up but it makes sense interest is still there.
Hated hero shooters. Never played overwatch. I haven’t been able to put MR down. I don’t play any other game. The Battlepass progression is decent, the game is so fun. The characters are great. I love Winter Soldier and Loki. I’m only a Silver 1 as I started playing about two weeks ago and I’m not that good. But it’s so good. Until another FPS makes me feel the way this makes me feel, I won’t touch another live service game.

Whats weird is that i feel every hero is like...strong in certain ways? (outside of Storm, she needs a buff) I remember people saying Wolverine was trash until they realise what was the best way to use him for what, which is to basically kidnap one enemy tank and shred them with your teammatges.
Saying wolverine kidnaps tanks is such a funny thing to say but so accurate this, always makes me smile. Storm is BAD though.
Right like I think that also allows for certain heroes to become insanely underrated like cloak and dagger for example.

@cheerful_crop_circle ... Your comment is kinda meh to me. You say you don't care about MR but then you say you don't care about games in general anymore... That's really a you problem isn't it? Even if I don’t want to tank a particular game I can make peace with it since I get to play my FAVORITE HERO- THE INCREDIBLE HULK
what differences do you feel in tanking between the two games ? (apart from the number of tanks per game)
I like the fact that my choice to tank is a reward to the team. Not something I have to queue for and can't change after that
@hydenmoody4373I also feel like tanks don’t have as much of a burden peeling and keeping everyone alive since it’s 6v6 and sometimes you got 3 duelists or 3 healers, and sometimes someone gets picked but the fight isn’t over. Sometimes I play strange and solo tank and still manage to take isolated fights and not have to hold my shield the whole game or get flamed by the supports.
This game better not Cater to the Esports community, it should just be a fun game instead of being another overwatch esports failure
Agreeded and content creators helped ruin overwatch too. Not saying sty did but content creators do unfortunately have influence on game
@ yup they ruin the game as bad as that sounds
modern balancing is boring. If something is good, it gets toned down. Why can't they just tune up the underperforming stuff instead? It's fun to be overpowered. It's not fun to have that overpowered element taken away. Especially in a superhero game. Let everyone be super! Don't let everyone be "somewhat decent" please.
After the 1st game on Marvel Rivals I immediately uninstalled Overwatch.
No DEI or message = good game, and no activism + plus real passion = a perfect game
It's sad that people think these 2 games can't coexist, we act like CoD and Battlefield haven't been directly competing for the last 2 decades
It's not that, people are just shitting on OW because they've treated their playerbase like shit for years and have been getting by barely trying because there was no competition.
Battlefield is dead tho, has been for a while
The main difference is that CoD and Battlefield have both released multiple iterations of their game over that period.

Overwatch feels restrictive Rivals feels open
Overwatch:
They should skip Overwatch 2 and go straight to Overwatch 3. Instead of a limited roster, they should introduce the possibility of adding heroes from all Blizzard games to the roster-similar to what they did with Heroes of the Storm but for Overwatch. In my opinion, that’s the only way to save this franchise.
Marvel:
They should add the feature Overwatch had to create lobbies for queuing up for competitive matches.

No way!

I’m looking forward to your guides like you did in overwatch
3 factors. 1: OW desire for content and fun was huge. 2: The game is fun (even if not something new) AND good. 3: Comic book characters.

All that being said, this game gives me the biggest headache lol. Tilting to say the least. Just so much happening all at once that I may be too old for these types of games. Younger me would have loved to sweat this hard
Bruh I am over 50 and loving this game, tons better than OW2 or Apex
No , even younger me wouldn't like this game that much because it is a team vs team game and team vs team games are repetitive
I dont like third person shooters but I'm loving marvels with the exception of some crashes
They just hit the formula SO MANY devs refuse to follow. Not a pay to win game, can earn cosmetics by just playing, outstanding presentation, no wokeism, a lot of characters, well refined gameplay, and good balance, for the most part.
Combine alll of that and you have a successful game.
Lost me at wokeism
Not gonna lie, if things keep being good, I might spend money for a battlepass skin that I really like. Not in Season 0, though. I have to really love the skin, and none of the skins fit that criteria.
Nobody tell blud how many gay/bi characters are in the roster, he'd lose his shit 😭 🙏
@@The-ne9uti think he means like characters whos entire personality isnt that they are gay
"wokeism" those people you hate so much actually exists, you choose to deny their existence. come on bruh they never hurt you
I like both games but the openness and craziness of the kits in Rivals makes me wish they stop balancing Overwatch to competitive pros and the loudest whiners.
Or maybe they were inspired by the game Portal?
Maybe they were inspired by doctor stranges portals in the comics and the movies ?
He meant in the context of a hero shooter. Yes portal physics have been a thing in other games for years but in those games it was a core mechanic of the game. Relegating something like that to a single character in a way that fits the character's identity and flows seamlessly with all the other character abilities in the game is pretty notable imo
I personally love the 3rd person. I quit buying skins for others to see in OW
Dude, why you gotta burn my eyes out with that horrendous Mantis gameplay in the background?
Its a good game. Took us 15 years to finally get one. Do feel bad for the pc problems hopefully they figure it out
Overwatch heroes are way more one dimensional with less abilities, hardly any melee, and shitty role queue with less hero composition
Why is it not falling off? It is a better Overwatch and It’s Marvel.
Facts
Bro glazing a bad game but can’t open his eyes to a good one
Blizzard has been more focused on adding in characters like Venture that were non-binary just to check a box -- and it is kind of funny they have done nothing for Venture ever since.
i like netease games, the gameplay feedback was always good from them
We can’t compare OW and marvel rivals imo.
OW: 6-8 years old, new devs and different content
Rivals: One month old, same devs.
Just some outside insight.
its not everyone cup of tea ngl but i adore it, hopefully we get some nice pve and story modes since marvel comics are amazing
Ok, where's the why? Cause it sounds more like nostalgia/bitter ow users/people who don't want to get into a new game more than it sounds like OW is beating rivals in any way other than "I've been around longer"
Overwatch is ridiculously dull .OW 2 is even worse.
Poor guys I feel it
overwatch shot themselves in the foot by releasing ow classic right before rivals came out because that game mode reminded us that even overwatch felt extremely clunky and poorly optimised when it launched
yeah it was also almost 10 years ago, nothings perfect
@@glythkuakomo1820 bro completely missed the point
It was just a fun mode for nostalgia, it's not that deep.
@@bui3415 bro how tf do both of u completely miss the objective of my statement, fuck me u have to he american
I dont think you understand what those words mean bro
It had a holiday update introducing a new mode and skins. Then recently new characters were announced. Those 2 things aren't the only factors keeping the numbers up but it makes sense interest is still there.
7:13 “These devs have cooked beyond cooking”
This video proves that overwatch doing fine shows how popular it is you can’t keep it out your mouth
Just like the 80s, everyone referencing it as an example
Its really not doing fine tho is it?
Hated hero shooters. Never played overwatch. I haven’t been able to put MR down. I don’t play any other game. The Battlepass progression is decent, the game is so fun. The characters are great. I love Winter Soldier and Loki. I’m only a Silver 1 as I started playing about two weeks ago and I’m not that good. But it’s so good. Until another FPS makes me feel the way this makes me feel, I won’t touch another live service game.
It’s still relatively new, give it time lol.
Cope
@ it’s not cope to say a new game in an aging genre that dropped during a gaming drought will keep a consistent player base. That’s called logic child.
Overwatch can only Marvel at their Rivals
Why are we even having this conversation the game literally just came out of the womb, can it take its first steps before we talk about it dying geez
It's good to talk about why it's not dying
@@TheDriftingsmokeBecause it's new and is still being glazed by mindless consumers. Give it time and everyone will hate it as soon as they loved it.
