I'm 30, and when I was a kid, I listened to 50 cent, Tupac, Biggie, Eazy-E, N.W.A, Dr. Dre. Then, when I was 21, I discovered Mac Miller, and he became my favorite musician. When Lil Peep was alive, I had heard of him, but never checked out his music. Then, when I was 29, I checked out Star Shopping, and instantly was hooked. Checked out more, and more of his music, and have listened to him every single day. Lil Peep, and Mac Miller, are both tied, as my all time favorites. Peep brings a sound to my ears that I've never heard before. It's sad how popular he's become, after he's passed away. Guys like us, who listened to artists like 50 Cent, Tupac, and Biggie, are big fans of him now. Poor guy should be here to enjoy it. Definitely didn't deserve the demons he had. I have those same demons, and used to pop handfuls of pain pills a day, just to make the demons bearable. It's extremely difficult. Especially when you get clean like I have, and have to learn to deal with the pain, without the pain meds. My best friend is an addict too, and has been staying at my house, and has been relapsing. A few nights ago, he took ONE pain pill, and it was laced with fentanyl, which is the same stuff that was laced in the pills that Lil Peep took. My friend couldn't even walk or stand. I got him to the couch, and in the middle of the night, I found him lying on the kitchen floor, and thought he was dead. I picked him up, and practically carried him to the couch again. His body felt like a heating pad, and he was drenched in sweat. Lil Peep had no idea the pills he had were laced, and he took more than a few of them. The thought of that is scary to me. My friend only took one, and was BEYOND messed up. Poor Peep. He didn't have a chance of surviving after talking those pills.

Lil Peep has been interested in rock a lot growing up and even did rock covers of songs in concert I swear all the rappers that listened to rock are able to convey the emotional weight in their music way more efficiently than an artist that has been confined to one genre all their life it gives perspective
