Grazie a te per avermi scritto! Effettivamente S.O.S.
Ciao, personally i love the older Italo-Disco from 1978-1984, which we're partly the roots of later Chicago House.. i have my newest Italo-Disco In The Mix Vol.22 out at soundcloud.. Ciao a tutti from brunswick in germany and please stay safe 🙃
Ciao Sandro I also respond here to your message you sent on “MY TOP 50 Italo Disco THE ORIGINS (1974-1979)”. I agree with you that “La Bionda” and their other group “D.D. Sound” were among the most famous precursors of the genre, together in my opinion with “Passangers” and “Easy Going”. Instead Oliver Onions are more authors of film soundtracks (especially for Bud Spencer and Terence Hill). Alice I would say it has nothing to do with it. As highlighted in my selection, already in the mid-70s in Italy some had started producing danceable songs. At the time no one called this genre Italo Disco which, as you surely know, is a 1982 definition by the German-Polish producer Bernhard Mikulski. At most it defined itself as Italian Disco music. In your preferences you go up to 1984. I think there are many good songs up to the end of the 80s. After that, “Italo Dance” (House and techno) became established. Best regards
@@fabio7297Ciao Fabio, thank you for response, yes, i read it many years ago, that Bernhard Mikulski from Zyx Records made the definition of Italo-Disco in 1983? i don't know, maybe as a label for selling the records.. before that, it was quite disco, and that's what i personally love, the early Italo-Disco which was more funky and like american disco, something like l'ectric workers with robot is systematic from 1982 and MBO & Klein with dirty talk from the same year, and Alexander Robotnick in 1983/84 (Mauro Dami), which were much influental to later chicago house.. also great were Casco (Salvatore Cusato) in these times, Doctors Cat, Dharma, Cyber People, Atelier Foliere and Crazy Gang, fantastic times.. as for the precursors in the 1970's, this is very interesting for me, and for Alice, ok, maybe i was wrong, i've mixed one song of her in one older Italo-Disco In The Mix, which was fitting good into the Mix..maybe i have to ask Flemming Dalum about his opinion.. well.. in the 80's i was collecting the so called Italo Boot Mixes and the Double LP's The Best of Italo-Disco with a selection of 12" Mixes.. and i remember, when i was in vacation in southern italy (puglia) to the Family on my father side, i was recording many italo-Disco Trax on Audio Cassettes from Radio, which was a huge influence to me.. as for today, i'm now 54 and doin' some Italo-Disco Mixes since years. many greetings from brunswick in germany and please stay safe 🙃 0:36 0:36

Hi there, Fabio. Thank you for the great compilation! I've discovered scores of cool songs thanks to your list! May I ask you a little question, since you seem knowledgeable about Italo Disco, if you don't mind? Have you ever heard a song in this genre that goes something like "everyone knows that you've got ulterior motives, tell me the truth" (probably a part of the chorus)? These lyrics are just approximate, they may be slightly different. Here is a link to a little snippet of this song (the only one available as of now, yet in bad quality): ua-cam.com/video/qMHB0k8-wKg/v-deo.htmlsi=ZYZIJShfGVmBFqqL I'm not an expert, and this may sound a bit far from Italo Disco, but I guess I'm just desperate to find it 😅 A lot of people are eager to find the full song and its origin, and some are currently tilting toward this genre in their search, so your help would be much appreciated! Thank you anyways!
I'm very pleased to have been helpful in introducing you to songs you didn't know. As for the mysterious song, I don't know it but it is very similar to "Good Karma" by the Swedish group Roxette. I could be wrong but I don't think it's an "Italo Disco" song. A greeting.
Hi Fabio, awesome tracklist! Have yoyu heard about a song named "Nowhere", by Italo-disco artist Valentino? The same one who recorded "You And I (Io Tu Noi)" (ua-cam.com/video/V19UwWGIE18/v-deo.html) and "Each Time I Touch You" (ua-cam.com/video/L5puPcw4WcM/v-deo.html), both of them around 1986-1987.
Todos temazos! Qué suerte los que fueron jóvenes en esa época y bailaron estos temazos a más no poder. 😊
I was one of those...!😉
