H/H match update for episode 1364: ... ~~~Today's action: Our newly crowned champ won $500 on the audience match yesterday, but time ran out before we got to the wheel. So here we go... The wheel wants to see Brett play today. And for $10,000! Stats: Brett last played (and matched) in 1356. She's matched 11 of her last 23 attempts (47.8%), and 22 out of her 43 most recent attempts (51.2%). Her overall success rate is 43.6% and this is her 95th attempt. *Today's H/H question: "_______Boil"* (What? Some questions are tough because there are too many good answers. This one sounds like it doesn't have any good ones at all. Slow boil? "Bring the water to a slow boil" sounds like something you'd read in a recipe. Gentle boil? Bring to a boil? Don't let it boil? Keep it at a boil? I'm obviously missing something. I'll stick with "slow.") Brett decided awfully quickly. Maybe it is a cooking term. No. Not today. "Skin" says our champion (but with little confidence). I guess it's within the broad realm of "valid" answers, but it sounds awful. I take it he doesn't cook and couldn't come up with an answer. The audience response is about a 1 (they sounded sad, but not hostile). If it's any consolation, I'm now convinced it's a truly rotten question, unworthy of Christmas week! The audience wanted "hard," but as Gene correctly points out, it's "hard-boiled" (like an egg), not "hard boil." Well, I take that back. A recipe could say to bring a mixture to a hard boil for 5 minutes before turning the flame down to let it simmer. Well, Brett had a rotten answer too: "Hard as a" - Yuck all around. Boo to the writers! They deserve a lump of coal for that one! It makes my blood boil! No H/H match today. ~~~Here's our updated leader board showing the 11 celebs with at least 3 H/H matches, ranked by accuracy: (An asterisk before a celebrity's name signifies that she or he has "retired" from the show and their H/H stats are now complete.) (For tied scores, I consider the one with the greater number of matches to be higher; if the matches are equal, the celeb who first achieved that score goes on top.) Orson Bean - 100% (4 matches in 4 attempts). (*)Jo Anne Worley - 75% (3 matches in 4 attempts). Joyce Bulifant - 66.7% (4 matches in 6 attempts). Gary Burghoff - 55.6% (5 matches in 9 attempts). Charles - 50.0% (43 matches in 86 attempts). Betty - 46.9% (23 matches in 49 attempts). Fannie - 46.3% (19 matches in 41 attempts). (*)Jo Ann Pflug - 44.4% (8 matches in 18 attempts). Brett - 43.2% (41 matches in 95 attempts). (*)Richard - 42.5% (373 matches in 878 attempts). Bert Convy - 33.3% (5 matches in 15 attempts). *These stats include every head-to-head match from episode 1 through 1364, excluding the missing/damaged/unavailable episodes: 31, 32, 33, 311, 312, 313, 324, 325, 645, 910, 1024, 1025, 1026, 1027, 1028, 1029, and 1030. (Note: episode 849 was never produced.) These stats do, however, include the H/H results of missing episode 968 as those results were revealed in episode 969. There was no H/H in missing episode 1035, as we learn in 1036. These stats do, however, include results of episodes 1309 through 1317, found on channels other than this one.
No, Brett 🙄, 2 people (besides Gene) said "Jukebox": Charles & Dick... I thought THAT was a good answer and "Radio" was a good answer, but "Elevator" was just FUNNY because of "Elevator MUSIC"!!!!! 💿📻😆🎵🎶
Free spirit flying again! ;0) Wow Dayton! ;0) ROFL! Another fine episode! ;0) Good response to Gene's answer.. ;0) ROFL! Love ya Charles! ;0) ROFL! Love ya Fannie! That's funny! ;0) Man! Is Brett in a bad mood this week, arguing with everybody..
I wonder what that brown tab under Gene's left lapel was? The right lapel didn't have one.🤔 Fannie seemed a bit "unsteady". 😉. Lonzina (sp.) has the most beautiful smile, a lovely woman! 😃
I realize this is 2 years later but....the tab has a buttonhole, the corresponding button would be on underside of the opposite lapel so theoretically you could pop the collar and button the jacket all the way up to the neck. Like an English hacking jacket would do to keep you warm out in the countryside. Gene's probably doesn't actually function, just styled like that to give it a sportier look.
I know that "Lettuce & Cabbage" are NOT the same thing and that, yes, you do STUFF "Cabbage", unlike "Lettuce", BUT they have matched 2 way-more-differing answers in the past, so I am A LITTLE (not a lot, just a little) shocked that they didn't match those 2... JS... 🥬🤷♀️
Go see Kal, go see Kal, go see Kal!! Kal Worthington
I ♥ that play on words with 🔒 on bagels, I was hoping Lonzena woulda won with that answer

Who did Carol Jones play on Y & R. I can't find her listed there anywhere
Held the TEACHER for Ransom 🤑
(I used to be an elementary teacher!!!

thank you for posting
Amazing that they all pronounced 'Moog' correctly!
Funeral = 🍿🥜🥤
Love the celebrities ! Thank you so much !!
I hear no Moog. I hear a Bass and a Guitar with a wah.
You hear a Moog in the music that plays during the sponsor plugs.
Richard Dawson could have answered the Boxing Day question much better.
GOODY FOR HIM!!
Whenever they have someone from “The Young and the Restless” on Gene drops the second “the” and calls it “The Young and Restless”.
...I matched head of lettuce... 🤣😅
Carol Jones has sure changed in 42 years. Why not stay perfect like then?..arghh..
I went with the audience on hard boil. Gene seems to forget that it can be a verb as well as an adjective.
Being that Brett is from Maine, I was thinking clam boil..

It was the same colour as his elbow patches. Maybe the right one fell off ? Maybe where you wear a flower ?
@@lorimiller4301 The flower idea sounds good. 🌹
