- SUP Y'ALL?! Welcome to my first album reaction! Had to split the whole reaction into 4 videos since I kept having technical issues with uploading them in longer videos so this was quite the unpaid hustle with all the editing/technical work hahaha but it was totally worth it. This album is straight up 100%. I loved all of the songs and I like how each one takes you on a different feeling and vibe. I'm Cambodian and Chinese.
I was born in November of 1983 (so I'll be 37 this year) and raised in Houston, TX.
"OG KPOP STAN": I've always used the term "OG" (supposedly "original gangster") to define being old-school, and I became an avid Korean music aka Kpop listener/lover since 1998. Kpop was my coping mechanism from the bullying I experienced in my younger years and it's just stuck by me ever since.
I was a hiphop dancer for about 7 years. I did the whole crew thing, auditioning thing, competition thing, choreography thing, dance instructor thing, so I have some experience in that field and I hope to be able to share some perspective from my experiences for y'all to see the extra things that I appreciate about a video when I point them out.
-My videos can have quite a lot of cuts in editing and/or my eyes will unnaturally blink rapidly sometimes. This is because of my neurological disease that came with my lupus nephritis (posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome). My thinking abilities and speaking abilities struggle to align at times.
Yes, that's Jack Sparrow's ring that I always wear in my videos. I've been a Pirates of the Caribbean fan ever since I rode the ride for the first time ever in Disneyland when I was a kid.🤓

What I love about Stray Kids is that they're not afraid to play around with their sound. Each one of these songs sound so completely different from the other but they nail them beautifully. Going from Tortoise and the Hare to B Me to Ex to We Go must have been one hell of a trip for you! We got great line distribution on these songs and I love not only hearing Seungmin's vocals shine but also hearing Jeongin and Minho shine too. You can really tell how much they (and the rest, really) have worked hard to improve and it absolutely shines on this album. Minho and Seungmin slayed me this comeback!

The tortoise and the hare is such a masterpiece to be honest. I was kinda ready for it because of Go Live, but the full song was so much more than expected!! I was confused but enjoying it hard at the same time lmao I love your reactions so much!!!!
SUPER masterpiece, seriously! I don’t always feel the urge to want to make choreography but when I heard that song, I felt the opposite😜

JUST AN FYI: The songs I didn't react to are God's Menu, Easy, Back Door, and Any due to hearing them already. Yes... I'm guilty of accidentally listening to Any before this album reaction. :( But I can guarantee y'all that I was LIVID as F*CK.😜

I was so happily surprised when I first heard Tortoise And The Hare, in my opinion it's such a unique song, so different and fresh from any other kpop songs I've ever heard. I know that not many ppl are going to love it but I do.
Please be careful with the Ex mv, it hits really hard.

The unit songs are really to show off the unit tbh. We Go is very 3racha, but muuuuuch more mature and confident.

if your reaction to these song isn't all of us like I've been listening to kpop for a very loooooong time (not as long as you though) and every IN生 song is of such high quality and their songs are so versatile it's my ALL TIME FAVORITE KPOP ALBUM it has dethroned B.A.P. Noir for me it's THAT good (still also a masterpiece of an album)

First, i first heard The Tortoise and The Hare when it just played on shuffle in my SKZ Spotify stream and I just had goosebumps. It's so damn playful and realizing that it started off as a joke but actually highlighted so much of their creativity and YES, LEE KNOW's linesss.
Second, I'm listening to B Me for the first time like you. And it's so positive for post heart break or toxic relationships. Cause for heartbreak, you just lose yourself in pain. And toxic relationships basically strips you of who you are with the amount of compromises and self-sacrifice. If I might just add, there are even toxic relationships where the "obvious" abuser is also the "victim's" victim (eg, enabling or provoking violent tendencies until the "abuser" loses himself to guilt and be the sole receiver of hate)
Third, Ex is indeed very emotional especially because their vocals heightened that even without the lyrics. Since it's more a lover who lost their partner because a) they were insecure yet also overconfident b) they didn't communicate with their partner, c) the lack of communication turned to infidelity, and d) the emotional purge which caused the ultimate break up turned to that delayed flooding of guilt, regret, and desire to be together again-also maybe because men are stereotypically known to feel the intesity of a break up at a latter time (an awkward follow to B Me HAHAHA).
Last, We Go is blowing my mind with the little to no rest in Binnie and Hannie's rap lines. They just zoom to wherever and fill seconds with their jampacked plans and schedules. Han with his seemingly relaxed yet fluid rap line and Binnie's packed and aggressive speed (tbh, I had a hard time following the lyrics cause it went like whoosh). The only time I can ever breath is when Chan sings HAHAHA.
I totally get how listening to Changbin can remind you of Em, his lyricism, wordplay, rhymes and flow is insane. His voice is so good aswell for both hardcore rap or straight emotional rap.
ahhh I totally feel you with the emotions of Ex; it's my favorite track off this album

The tortoise and the hare just hits different. All tracks are beautiful. We go is also fire, the rapping plus Chan's line❤️. The entire album is just completely perfection.

I heard 'We go' a lot but Binnie's rapping always surprises me as well as Jisung and Chan's vocal here is so good☺️
This whole album is a TRIP! like how would you expect the tortoise and the hare, any, b me, and ex in one album. That’s exactly what i love about skz. They are not afraid to explore diff genre but at the same time they still have that sound that tells you “this is still stray kids” if that makes sense. They have established a stray kids sound! So far my fave b sides are the tortoise and the hare and b me. I just can’t stop listening to them omg
Dear boys have matured quite a bit from the debute days. Music has more control. Lyrics got better. They improve on expression, singing, dancing, and stage performances. I think the tours and Woojin departure really help them become better.

It's Hella insulting to the boy's!!
They all sit there and work on the song's together they know what they want in the song so if a members lines aren't as many as others it's because they have gone through and found what sounds they want for that song.
It's really becoming disgusting hearing about line's, it's not about the bias of your fave it's about the music which either you believe that's what they are doing or you think they don't like a member?
P.s not directed at you but this is being a trend and it's getting out of hand.

Sall good, I didn’t even know it was actually a thing for some to legitimately argue about lines.😶 I was just genuinely happy to hear Lee Know’s voice because I’m relatively new to Stray Kids so I’m still in the stage of knowing them fully and individually. Also, even though Lee Know isn’t my bias of SKZ, I’m also not one to only want my bias to get all the spotlight because that’s not what being a team is about. I used to dance for teams for almost 7 years so I’m pretty understanding as far as who gets what lines or who gets center in choreography, etc etc. I trust the creator’s vision and wouldn’t want to verbally bash it. Sorry if me pointing out lines was bothersome but that’s not in my intention to do that. It was a genuine reaction to hearing more of his voice.😀

FINALLY. Someone said it! Say it louder for the people in the back please! Dude idk if you saw the comment section for Backdoor’s dance practice but Minho stans have gone crazy. There were hundreds and hundreds of comments complaining about Minho not having lines and I’m like??? Every single one of you are ungrateful of how hard they’ve worked for this comeback and you have the audacity to complain about something so trivial like the line distribution? First of all the members get to choose their lines and sometimes 3racha envision certain lines for specific members when they’re creating the lyrics and on top of that this isn’t the first time, Felix and IN barely had lines 2018 & 2019 so what’s the issue? It happens. It’s disgusting and disrespectful to the artists that you supposedly love and stan. When we all know they continuously work their asses off for us and they can’t just be happy with what they provide. //End rant I’ve been wanting to say this but there have been so many comments about line distribution this comeback and it’s just getting out of hand. - also thina if you read this isn’t related to you in any way. I also know you read comments from fan's, and even if your not really aware of it people have written those types of comments and they do influence how people perceive thing's.
Because you are a new fan you haven't watched the boy's and how they work together to produce their song's. I also know it's a thing with other companies/groups that other members do get less it's why I wanted to stress that it's not the case.
