What is your favorite travel hack? Are you planning on using any of these hacks on your next trip?
I have health issues, and always try to pack something to eat on the plane. The airport food is not only very expensive, but highly processed. By packing my own snacks, I control what I am eating so that I'm not ready to chew my arm off when I get to my destination. Many times I have used the take out containers to pack them in so that TSA can see what is inside. I think I saw that in one of your other videos, but it's always a great tool. I also use a zip bag in the seatback pocket to collect my trash. Many times, there is some type of trash left by the previous passenger in the pocket before I get there.
I've been using these for years! Especially for the plane
The poop bag is such a great idea. I am definitely going to try that on my next trip.
Really nice tips. Thank you Christy.
We used the Google translate on our phones while traveling in Germany; so handy!!
They sell luggage covers that are stretchy and come in a million different styles. Makes them easy to identify plus protects your luggage at the same time. They usually clip below th bottom of the case and are very secure
Good to know! Thank you for sharing 😊
You could also freeze grapes. Then you have the added bonus of eating the grapes as a snack!
Love it!!! 😀
The camera gear in the diaper bag is genius.
The doodoo bags also are helpful if you have pads that need to be changed. (Have you ever gone into the lavatory after someone has left a used one that is not contained? Ew)
I thought you were going to use the sponge to cut into a stencil stamp to fabric paint your luggage. No one else has the fabric painted stencil on theirs. I can identify mine at a distance.
I love the stencil diy! 😊
Thank you for the sponge tip. Super-useful!!
Glad it was helpful! 😊
Love the poop bag idea! I have those in my car and they come in so handy. Another option is getting diaper trash bags from the baby section at Dollar Tree. They are basically the same thing, just in the shape of a tiny Target/Walmart bag, complete with handles.
Awesome tip!! Thank you 😊
Agreed! Highly recommend the diaper bags; using those on my upcoming flight and actually use those in my car too.
Going off your 💩 bag idea, carry a few bags while sightseeing for your trash until you find a trash bin.
Use the sponge, once you get to your destination, for washing your cup or utensils at your hotel or rental. I’ll keep thinking of other ideas for a sponge. There’s has to be something else without having to throw it out. lol
Absolutely!! I totally thought about that after I finished filming, how the Airbnb's never have good sponges, LOL! 😀
I feel that everybody does a bit too much for the travelling hacks !! And many of 'em are not so practical ,or we can buy the items at affordable prices, or better that way for the quality wise ,but the sponge trick was AWESOME as they're light ,so even frozen it won't be as heavy as those cool packs !!? I believe ! Thanks for that one !! 👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈💞
You’re welcome 😊
Yes,silicone bags are better than plastic bags like you said !! Many plastic bags leak water 💧Also ,silicone ones last longer to reuse !! So ,more ecological & economical !!! 👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈💞
I don’t know if you noticed while editing the video but the camera translated the word Menu as Many ( with means “muchos” in Spanish). I hope it can translate the options better so you don’t get in trouble when ordering your food 😊.
I know! It wasn't the best of examples, but I was crunched for time and didn't have a lot of options 😊. I'm excited to try it out for real, hopefully soon!!
The TSA does NOT care if you put a tshirt over your bag. I do it when I travel with no issues. You just need to cut access slits for handles so the baggage handlers can handle it easily. It helps to protect the bag and keep it closed during travel. The Tshirt makes the luggage very easy to pick out and much easier to spot then a piece of yarn tied to the handle.
Good to know!! Thank you for sharing 😊
I always slip a bill in my bra rather than my shoe. Thanks for these great tips! :)
My best travel hack is to get lost wherever you go! You’ll never really be lost with an iPhone but you’ll see so much more if you head to the back streets where the locals live, shop and eat. Lunch is much less expensive and more authentic.
I love this!! Thanks for sharing 😊
I did that in Paris. I came up with a new scarf bought at a market, some bread, cheese, and fruit for dinner, and some sort of neighborhood festival.
I didn’t know you were allowed to carry food on a plane 🤦♀️
Yes! Just make sure if its a "liquid food" like yogurt or applesauce you have it in your liquids bag when going through security 😊
