This makes me excited for you to get to Work This Time from the album Oddments. It's another Joey song and King Gizzard's #1 song on Spotify. It's funny because most fans wouldn't say that song is their favorite or even one they return to often. However, when they play it live Joey always rips an awesome solo and it makes the song 10x better in my opinion.
This is a great song from Joey, gotta love it. It's my first time hearing this live version, and it reminds me of some kind of 50s/60s/70s Motown soul song or something my mom would listen to. I understand you couldn't really do a 2-in-1 for this and Paper Mache due to time constraints, but do keep in mind that Paper Mache is a very short instrumental outro, much like FMB's title track.
I've never heard this version, it is pretty good. If you ever get a chance, you should check out the live at the caverns version. It has such a wholesome fun vibe, definitely worth a watch.
Genuinely, honestly, you could do the last track off camera. It's really not worth going through for a video. It's very short, there's nothing really new about it.
This is the first time I've heard this version, and I'll keep it real, I prefer this to the studio version. Joey's vocals have improved a shitload since they recorded PMDB, and hearing him get so into it on top of the almost Steve Miller Band sounding electrics hits the spot for me on this one. Can't wait to see what album you chose to do after Paper Mache, which isn't a bad track, it's just a short little medley of the album's hooks on flute to cap the album off.
I've been to 6 Gizz shows and this moment at Red Rocks will always be one of my favorites!
I already loved this song... this performance was amazing!
Seeing this video really makes me wish you would react to this entire live show once, love the red rocks day show!
Should see Joey now, shaved his head and looks jacked. Guy has a new look almost every year haha.
I’m just happy he kept the mustache. He looks less scary 😂

Still prefer the Caverns version, but this was cool! Probably my favourite from what I've seen of RR 23 so far, RR 22 is better overall imo

That’s them winging it 😂
Great live version. Never heard it before 👍🏻
Is it me or does Joey sound like Gene Ween in this
The only King to me is Diamond

Gotta finish the album though…my semi ocd wouldnt let me haha
@@rockdariff I respect that, but be ready for a 5-6 minute video 🤣
Tack it onto the start of the next album? It's just a short outro, not a real song.
