Thanks so much! I must admit every time I finish a video and watch the playback for errors, I do hum along to the theme music. I don't know what that says about me. 😅
I hope you get like an update to this. I don't necessarily think that a whole new video is needed to the depth of this but like just kind of maybe even a bridge version of the new Rage of the elements book would be fantastic. Just kind of letting us know what has changed what's been added. And maybe some speculative lore since I'm not quite sure how to do a bit bigger deep dive but I don't know if they have had the element of wood and metal in previous editions. I do know that the plain of wood did exist in the D&D 3E planar guide book but I'm not sure about there being a plate of metal or minerals I have to go look.
Yes indeed! I don't know exactly when I'll drop it but I absolutely intend to provide a 'lore update' from Rage of Elements including the wood and metal planes.
It is great being able to return to your videos. The best is being able to watch and listen, though more often I am only able to have them play while focused on other tasks. I appreciate your creation and look forward to future Golarion and Middle Earth lore. Thank you.
My group will travel into the First World in the near future. Looking forward to your video. Keep up the great content. I'm learning a lot for my campaign 🙂
Love the video, I find the subject really interesting as my first ever Pathfinder 2e character which I started playing last week is a Sylph. Her name is Aynur. I posted a post on R if anyone is curious. I also commissioned an art for her and she has a bit of backstory.
@MythKeeper Yesterday I watched your other video about Ustalav. The same character the Dhampir I mentioned in the comment of that video is the same character. Our DM allowed us to take 2 different Heritage, well technically even in the book you can be, simply you only choose one mechanically. She is a Sylph Dhampir. Basically her Father is a Djinni (Genie from the Plane of Air) and her mother is an Elf who was transform into a Vampire when she was still pregnant. Making her Genetically a Sylph Dhampir, and since she is half-Genie, that makes her Half-Elf theorically speaking.
There are some things in Pathfinder (among other games) I find difficult to take as the text proposes. The fact djinni and genie have different meanings, for example. The word genie comes from the word djinni, and they are (outside of PF/D&D lore) the same thing. So whenever the topic of genies and djinn comes up, I'm always double checking which one someone is actually talking about. On a tangentially related note, the fact that fungal creatures/life forms are considered plants in these games also gets a chuckle out of me from time to time. From a design perspective I understand the choice though.
@@TheMythkeeper Oh that's actually very good, I did not know that! So far I've only dipped my pinky toe in 2e (before it was remastered) and therefore missed that. Now to keep jaathoom separate from barsoom, but at the very least that should pose less of a challenge. Weird they went with jaathoom though, considering jathum is an evil spirit that possesses humans and air genies are Chaotic Good, but that's another topic entirely I suppose.
My winter witch briefly pop into the plane of water when he cast dive and breach to escape from Mudwretches that was surrounding him and it was a good way of washing himself up from getting vomited on by the Mudwretches
I love your content! Do you have any plans on doing a long form video on Red Mantis Assassins and their Deity. I love the rightful ruler assassins and believe you could do an amazing video on iy
I do hope in-depth videos win out over summarized chapters. There are a couple of PathFinder novels that incorporate the Red Mantis in the plot. The tales are worth reading. Does anyone remember their titles?
The genies really could use an influx of compassion. I never quite understood how people could see beings so closely tied to the elements can be so full of themselves or ever bother with anything as meaningless as slavery. They should know more than everyone else that everything is connected.
Honestly, it unfortunately makes sense to me. Nature is both harmony and conflict. Cooperation and dominance. You have instances of things like Ravens and Wolves, but you also have parasites that survive by mind controlling rodents to get eaten by cats so they can invade the cat's system. Both are part of the natural order. Slavery would be against most tenants of good, but not against those who hold nature and the elements as the highest example, as sapient conceptions of good are mostly about overcoming the cruelty of nature.
I would love to split my self and my five/pineal gland senses and my consciousness into all the game and real worlds of the universe I want. So I can be existing in all the worlds I want at once.
I truly believe that the elemental planes are some of the most underutiluzed pieces of the pathfinder lore, and its denizens even more so.
I've come to love the intro music to your vids, so perfect.

27:16 what a horrifying yet compelling thought
Props to you friend! You pump out some seriously jam packed videos in such a short amount of time! Truly a great content creator!
Thank you sir! I continue to really appreciate the support!
I Agree
Thanks! You guys are amazing for the Pathfinder Lore. I hope this helps
Thank you Kelvorn!
Can't wait for Wood and Metal next year!
I need my winds of Chamon!

Great overview of the Elemental Planes. Thanks for posting.

@@TheMythkeeperexciting! I love the new plane of metal myself. Its so surreal
plane of water, i underestimate the amount of adventure opportunities, thanks!
The detail you put in your video's, is truly amazing :))
Great vid! As an aspiring kineticist, I found it pretty interesting
P. S. Will there be an addendum video for wood and metal planes?
Yes, I am now planning one final video in my plane series to provide a "Lore Update" after Rage of Elements ;-)
I love this channel
Mythkeeper, have you ever considered going into voice actor/voice over work. You have a fabulous voice and your narrations are fantastic.
I've been working in software for a long time, so no - this isn't actually anything I've really considered, but I appreciate it!
Thanks for the great content.

I would want to call the plane of earth and air my home. Additionally water as well.
Yeah they're both fairly radical. I have an update video coming in the not too distant future with the new planes of metal and wood as well.
Itamar, a fire bloodline sorcerer, who's ancestors traded and dealt in Zjarra, would set everyone here on fire easily
I wonder if every plane of fire has a City of Brass?
Stellar mate
Love the plane of earth for how it looks and everything else but the politics
I've never seen Genies with legs before!
Cool 😎

Djinni is no longer the term for an air Genie as of Pathfinder 2E specifically to avoid this confusion. They are now called Jathoom Genies.

I do plan to do a series on factions eventually, but tbd on whether the Red Mantis Assassins will get their own video or a chapter in a broader video
