- www.SebastianDi... - While Popper 7 doesn't tend to cause pain in the hands like other etudes from this author I found it difficult to achieve good intonation because of the many shiftings through virtually all available positions. The other difficulty is in the bow where one has to be economic for those long slurs.
Popper's etudes may be less beautiful than the Piatti Caprices but the more I work on them the more I am fascinated by their harmonic richness. Like and subscribe if you would like to follow this ongoing endeavor.
Your ability to maintain such strong pronation in the right arm is quite impressive.

This was so difficult for me, you make it look so possible and easy! I would like to know what combo of strings do you use? It sounds very crispy and clear.
The A and D are Larsen Standard strong. The C and G are Thomastik Spirocore Wolfram medium.
