David Popper Experience #10/40 - Sebastian Diezig, cello

www.SebastianDiezig.com - There are harder Etudes in Popper's High School book, but No. 10 still turned out to be more delicate than I initially thought. Among the intricacies are the many arpeggios, the frequent use of intermediate positions (2nd, 3rd) without being able to slide into them (hitting them right consistently is quite a job), two dangerous downward shifts in thumb positions and an uncomfortable double-stop section towards the end.
With all that being said I will add that musically speaking this one of the nicer Popper Etudes in my opinion.
