Aside from admitting that you’re willing to shill, which blows your credibility, this isn’t going to get you in Universal’s good graces. They don’t owe you anything. They didn’t ask you to make these videos. You did it because you expected something in return. If you enjoy making videos, focus on making the best videos that you can and try to have fun doing it. Remember that the people in charge of the media stuff are just one little part of Universal. Don't lose that passion because a few team members are giving mean girl vibes. Keep doing you, loving the park for all of it's history and innovation, and know that you have a loyal fanbase here that values you and your content.

TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF FIRST. Mentally, physically, emotionally. I’d say don’t even sweat about past reviews where you may have said things were better than they actually may have been. You see so many other creators who say everything is 10/10, but it’s theme park food at the end of the day. You know who is buttering up Universal. I’ve been slighted by a company that I poured literal blood, sweat, and tears into and at that point I had to buck up and protect my feelings. I love your channel, and I love how genuine, sweet and authentic you come across. You remind me so so so much my son and I hope he finds a passion like you have found with Universal. Do what you love and enjoy, document the park and document your youth for your future family to have a sweet giggle when the time comes. If invitations come, they come and it’ll be a nice perk. If they don’t, you have digital memories that will be so fun to look back on. Don’t let anyone or any company ruin this specialness you have created and hopefully will continue to create. 🤍🤍🤍🤍
As someone who wanted to be on these parks media lists I learned very quick that these parks don’t care about the content creators I say keep your head up don’t change who you are or your channel just to please them

The reason they probably discontinued the invites is your low engagement metrics. A UA-camr with over 1 million subs, but your views count per vid these days are very low - roughly 5K and often less than 1K. Universal can see the numbers as well we can and I'd wager that's the reason. Another UA-camr in the same space with near a million subs (Tim Tracker) is getting 70K and up in views per vid. Ironically, your decision to alter your channel content to get media invites might have backfired. Your subscribers expect to see great objective content - if you're perceived as a tout or shill, they might be inclined to watch somebody else. Disney and Universal should not be immune to criticism and they warrant plenty of it. If you take the rose-colored glasses off and make content to show the good, bad, and ugly, I'll bet the views would increase and Universal might no be happy, they'll respect you.

Universal Studios dropped the ball on you. You always gave us more Universal Studios content than any other theme park content creator who are usually at the Disney theme parks.
You were one of the first universal content creator i started watching, there wasn't alot of ppl covering universal at the time either. I feel like yoh deserve it more than others who just got started, Hopefully universal reconsiders.
Been watching for probably a couple years now. I'm 17 and I started watching when I was in eighth grade when I wanted to go to universal for my birthday. You have made my day many times over the years and honestly think this is a good thing. The reason I like your videos are because your are honest, not like some people who say its the best thing ever. I cant wait to see your upcoming videos and how much you grow and succeed.

Bro trust me I work at universal studios of Hollywood HR tells us the employees.. employees get to see the maze's for Halloween horror nights we get to see them first. That's called employees night only for works and we can film or Post anything online or else we get a write up or fired..

I understand why you would want to be on the media list. But you should never try to impress the "higher" ups. They don't truly care about the person who is putting in their time for free. I've heard Disney does their youtube "media" people dirty as well. Be honest and fair in whatever you do so you can just feel good about yourself and the content you are producing. Us fans of you will support you and appreciate you that much more. It's just business for those big guys in charge. You do this because you love it, so do it your way so you can continue to love it. My partner and I flew out to Hollywood from Ohio to go to Universal HHN after going several years to Orlando. Totally honest, we went to HHN Hollywood because of you and your videos showing POV's and everything HHN had to offer, You were about 3 people in line ahead of us at the Exorcist house, you were not filming and looked like you were on a date, so we didn't want to be disrespectful and say hello. I wish we would have though. If Universal has decided to disrespect you, then that's their loss. We have went back to HHN Orlando in 2022, 2023 and will again in just a few weeks. We didn't have the best experience at HHN Hollywood to be honest, but it was 2021, the post Covid year, and we all know the restrictions with that, so I'm sure that played a big part of out not so great experience. Remember it's not what you know it's who you know in this business! And believe me studio executives Don't like people who keep bugging them about working for them! You're still a kid opps sorry I know you're an adult I call everybody in their 20's and 30's kids lol! My daughter is 26 I still call my little girl lol! Chin up JP you're still very young you have your whole life ahead of you! I know you're a big Jurassic Park fan I worked on the original Jurassic Park and the Lost world at the Stan Winston studios! I'm 56 now and my work isn't as big as it used to be because of CGI but I still get gigs! Just do what you want to do and just do it! I remember a few years ago I was missing universal so much, I went on UA-cam to watch a ride pov, and that itself made me happy because it made me feel like I was there and all the excitement I used to feel while being there. So time passes by again and I was finally able to get my uni pass again, but I wanted to have more knowledge on everything so that’s when I found you! One day I was scrolling down to your older videos and turns out that the pov video I watched was from your channel!!! In my head I was just like whattt?!? I did not know I had watched his povs before! Thanks to your videos I was able to relive seeing the rides and just getting nostalgia of me being there. So keep up the great work with whatever you choose to do and we’re here to support!

Hey JP I think you are right to feel disappointed, upset and frustrated. I can tell Universal means a lot to you of course and you put so much time, money and effort towards Universal and to be treated the way you have is insulting truly and I’m sorry for what you’ve had to go through. It’s a real shame that for whatever reason they don’t choose to include you as you have used your platform to reach out and let those who see your videos know about the park and experience it with you. I support you and your choice to not let Universal influence your content. Telling people things were good when you knew they weren’t must have really hurt you and all those things just to get on their good side and get nothing in return. Im a 70 year old grandma and you have always been my favorite you tube person for Universal Studios. My daughter lisa and my granddsughrer Lacy have meet you there and was star struck! Lol My grandson Michael and i look for you everytime we are there, and we all have yearly passes. Michael finally meet you at HHN. He works in one of the houses, but didnt have time to say anything but hi. He came home and said i finally saw JP and said Hi. We all love you and think you are the best. My pass expired and i dont think I will renew it after hearing your heartbreaking story and how they are treating you. Lisa, Lacy, and Micharl have alrrady renewed theirs. I have bought my family yearly passes for so many years. I found my grandsons pass from when he was 3 years old and he is 34 now. Universal was always a place where we wrnt when my children were yoing and would want to go to the splash zone in the summer. Sometimes we would just go for that and leave. Thats was when the parking was free with the regular yearly pass. It makes me realky said to hear the way they are treating you, I always like Universal Studios alot better then Disneyland, i guess its time for ne to finally retire. I will continue to watch you and find out what is new, I wasnt going to get on the Roller coaster anyway, im way to old for that. Lol

Creators like you are the reason why people continue to want to go to the park and for example like me who is renewing my platinum pass because of the bright future you show of me of the Park. This is one of the issues I have with theme parks and media nights in general. I feel like they just pick and choose who they like and/or want at these events. It's VERY unfair for the content creators that put their blood, sweat and tears into what they do, and get little to nothing back. It's EXTREMELY unfortunate that this happened to you. Especially considering how much you love Universal

I haven’t had you recommend on my UA-cam in a while and this video popped up and I can’t believe they didn’t invite you, I also can’t believe that’s it’s been so long that I didn’t know you were at 1 million subscribers. It’s unbelievable that with 1 million subscribers and being at the parks so much that they didn’t invite you. You have 1.14mm subs and don’t make money? I know people with 1/4 of your subs who make 300k a year.
I suspect there’s an internal grudge against you. You have 1M+ subscribers, you average tens of thousand views per video, etc - they’d be crazy to exclude you from media events at all. Thanks for sharing the update. You’ll still do well and continue to grow as a channel no doubt.

I feel bad for you. Because you did change the way you covered the park. It was noticeable and us regular viewers noticed it. I believe in you and hope you continue to do great things
My speculation on why universal is so butthurt is that in recent videos , u filmed throwing the new Harry Potter ice cream right in the trash bin and during the pass member hunt , you went to king fu panda do get a credit, then snuck out the back door dismissing the attraction as a whole and they probably didn’t like that. But still you have way more subs than these other creators by a mile.
That true, I forgot about the ice cream. They actually fixed the flavor after I posted that video, it’s like Orlando’s now… you’re right, I completely dismissed that attraction- but that’s mostly because there’s only so many times you could watch a “movie” ahaha. It’s not bad, I’ve just seen it too many times and get bored
Overall, im going to continue doing what im doing. I’m going to be honest about the park. I’m relieved I don’t have to censor certain topics anymore

Sounds like the media list is very important to you even though you say it’s not. Remember that you have the power over universal to be authentic to your viewers. Do what you love, which is making videos about theme parks. And if Universal refuses to invite you then that’s on them because you don’t have to censor yourself anymore.
I’m a bit bothered because I limited myself from making content that I wanted to make because they told me not to. Moving forward, im going to be more honest with my reviews and the vlogs will be a lot more enjoyable now that I don’t have to censor specific types of content.

I too was in the parks since i was little , i remember 2 rides , back to the future and terminator and et . Ive also worked 5 yrs at the parks that i loved and they do me dirty. Hey man started watching your videos recently because of an upcoming trip I’m having to Cali to attend HHN. Don’t normally comment on videos but had the urge for this one. Don’t ever lose your integrity for a billion dollar company. All they care about is profit and the bottom line. I understand it would be cool to be invited out to events but in the end it’s not worth it. BE YOU! In the end, your audience can tell what’s real, and you never want to lose their trust. Firstly- im so glad you’re enjoying the videos, and I hope you have an incredible trip! Secondly- I don’t think I realized the sheer scale of the company. It felt so small to me as I’ve had so many incredible conversations with the people involved. I learned a lot these last few weeks, and I feel so grateful for all of the support. From this point forward, I no longer have to worry about censoring certain topics on my page. Im going to be fully transparent through each review, etc.

What they did is absolutely unacceptable! You are not being cocky when you say that you cover the park more than anyone. You are only speaking the obvious truth! You are my only source for Universal Stdios Hollywood news and content. Yes, I watch others, but you are my number one insider. Your content is by far one of the best and my absolute favorite. NO ONE covers universal the way you do. All these other content creators that show up once every two months can't hold a candle to what you have dedicated your life to! Please continue to cover the park because no one, and I mean NO ONE, covers the park like you! I would go to bat for you any day of the week and rest assured that I am going to write an email and won't stop until they get tired of me! JP, its your choice if you want to do updates, its your Choice weather you want to go into the park. Universal unfortunately doesn’t owe you anything, yes having that press media is great and it helps your brand. But universal is a massive company.

Your frustration is very warranted. I do freelance work for a particular channel and what I will say is that I was a part of a media interview at Midsummer Scream that particularly talked about giving privileges to channels who don’t cover the park as frequently but have really high production work per video (graphics, camera work, social media engagement).

Just wanted to reach out, I started watching your videos when I found out I was coming to Hollywood for universal and wanted some information. There’s not many UA-camrs that cover it so was glad to find your channel. You do really good work and the views you get show that. I’m gutted to hear about what has gone on here and sadly have seen it at our local park time and time again. Even as a small channel we’ve seen smaller channels get invites to events at our local park because they have produced false videos claiming everything is great and ignoring any issues someone might find on their park trip. It’s sad to see people giving a false view of parks and almost miss selling anything to people but it seems like that’s what works at the parks. Honest content should be the stuff that’s praised and I’m glad to hear your content is going to continue to be honest.
The funny thing is that if people watch my videos they get to learn a lot about my personality, sometimes if an item I’ve tried doesn’t taste great, it’s easy to tell weather I like it or not on my face 😂
