I used to go to my Aunt and Uncle's house with the ten foot satellite to watch WCCW. It became a family event with great food and family time. What great memories they are. We were amazed at the Kerry vs Flair two out of three falls match at Reunion Arena in 1982, the intensity in the performances were off the scale.
We lived in North Texas during their reign. Sportatorium was a report card incentive. Good report cards meant trip down to Dallas. Was at many matches. Me and my 10 year old buddies worshipped the brothers and Fritz. It didn't get any bigger. You'd have to have been there. It was the biggest thing in Texas! When David passed, my mom had to take me aside and tell me, and she had a hard time. Bless Kev and Pam and the family!
Thank you Kevin for being you, and for staying true to your family and your faith. You have always had an inner strength, and true faith in God, that nobody, no matter how hard they tried, could take away from you. You have carried the torch and the great Von Erich legacy into the 21st Century, and I am so proud of you and your family. Fritz, Doris, Jackie, David, Kerry, Mike, and Chris are looking down from heaven with great pride and smiles on their faces. Well done young man.
Everyone who thinks he is too old to “go” in a ring…I bet he’s still got something in the tank. Maybe not a whole match, but definitely a moment in the ring just like old Fritz on Michael Hayes.
I enjoyed the movie. The shower scene early in the movie could have been omitted without hurting the film. I think the actor who portrayed Kerry should have been more muscular. The heavenly reunion segment was inspiring.

One of my favorites growing up.
