KO's have never been an issue in competition since 2003. The SS 7x7 was released in Mid 2012, for a long time, the V7 was the only 7x7 around. Nowadays everyone uses shengshou. Only the hardcore designers (such as those on twistypuzzles) take issue to people using it. For speedcubers they are fine to use.
@Toni Marasovic - I started the 3x3x3 around end of December, solved it for the first time the next day, mastered it around january(solving it in 2mins). Now my best is 30s on 3x3x3 and 3mins 30 on 4x4x4, I got my first 4x4x4 around 2 and a bit week ago
In a rare exception to the WCA's rules on pillowed puzzles in events, both cubic and pillowed 7x7 cubes are allowed. But this applies to no other NxNxN cubes. So you can both use a V7 and a SS7.
I don't understand how he manages to make almost no pauses looking for the pieces. Ok, centers can be done almost as fast with a lot of practice (except the last two, that's just pure wizardry), but how does he have 100% awareness of the position of all the edge pieces at all times?
Well keep in mind, the layer manipulation will have to become extremely precise and almost convoluted to work on an efficient level. Also, the amount of combinations on a 7x7 is exponentially greater than on a 3x3 requiring the memory chip on that robot to have bytes upon bytes upon bytes,, etc. Perhaps one day.
I think I suck at larger cubes in general. I average 5-6 seconds on 2x2. almost sub 20 on 3x3. but when it comes to large cubes, its a different story. for 4x4, I average 1:36, 5x5 average is 4:15, 6x6 average is 9 minutes, and 7x7 average is 13 min.
Sooooo wouldn't it be more accurate to include that in the time? It's a very strange, pointless rule. Why don't they also say you just get to hit the button five seconds before you finish? That would be good.
greg55666 It's kind of like how you have to study a chess board before making a move, you use the inspection to map out a cross and f2l, or in big cubes your centers, I don't know if Feliks starts seeing edges or not lol
It's not like that at all. In chess, your thinking time is part of your time. The ENTIRE difficulty in solving a cube is in mapping out the moves. They eliminated the part that distinguishes one person from another, and turned it into a contest about as interesting as stacking cups.
yeah that's why I asked the question because of the issue of KO. I know I have been out of the cubing scene for a while, that's why I was a bit confused. and when people say always, I'm like no not "always". lol. but thanks, this makes a lot more sense. I guess I have been talking to hardcore cubers than just regular speedcubers like myself and everyone else. Even though theses hardcore cubers sell KO cubes. I personally love the SS brand, but it makes some hardcore cubers hypercritics
Don't go insulting people until you know your facts. Average can be boken into three different categories: mean, median, and mode. When it comes to cubing, average is the same as mean but the slowest and fastest times are excluded. So they are different. Snap
Haha yeah, thanks to the mini SS. I've got no idea how Lin Chen did those crazy times on his V-cube.
Can you make some more walkthrough 3x3 solves?
Watching his hands working is like watching the inside functions of a computer processor. Amazing speed.
Look nowadays bro!!!! xD
It's like watching a computer defragment itself.
Congratulations Feliks!!! You're the greatest cuber ever saw.
And here I thought I was special for solving the 3 x 3 Rubik's in 2 minutes, LOL. Wow!!! This guy is amazing!!
around this.
The Shengshou 7x7 is a beast. So glad they came out with a mini version of it. It's much easier on the forearms and it got me my PB.
generally around 50 seconds
geez! how does he pair the edges so fast?
still working on my 3x3

Man, and I felt so proud of myself just now for getting a sub-24 minute solve xD
Nice job Feliks! Congrats! Hope you get more world records back!
UA-cam should understand that, when I'm watching a video with cubes, the image doesn't need to look like them.

Look ahead but yeah for me it's crazy too
From where can we get a cheaper 6x6 and 7x7
What's the french train sound doing there?! :D 2:58 ???
0:42 what are the people in the background saying? I think they're saying: "I wanna solve one of those".
what is the best( fastest) method for 2x2 and 4x4
wow ...I takes me 50 seconds 1 center ..You are my role models Feliks
mini ShengShou. It's a smaller copy of the 7x7 like how DaYan makes a 55/57 mm and a 50 mm. There's a 75 and a 69 mm 7x7 from ShengShou.
Congrats! Your first 7x7 WR :D

His only limitation is how fast his fingers can move.
feliks you are the best speedcuber ever!
Do you have complete 2nd solve?
I think I suck at larger cubes in general. I average 5-6 seconds on 2x2. almost sub 20 on 3x3. but when it comes to large cubes, its a different story. for 4x4, I average 1:36, 5x5 average is 4:15, 6x6 average is 9 minutes, and 7x7 average is 13 min.
What méthode do you use
when was the shengshou 7x7 allowed in competitions?
is that smoke coming out of his fingers?
Watch the video in 0.25 speed...then it looks normal.
Watch it in 2× speed
Amazing !
what's your global average on 7x7 ?
Do you load the 5x5 WR Avg too, pls?
Crazy, takes me this long to do a 5x5 and I've been cubing a lot for almost 6 months.
How fast are you now?
@@dylangirouard And you? ?
@@algodequehablar9625 i average 12-13 seconds on 3x3
@@dylangirouard nice 👌
@@dylangirouard boret
is there a dayan version of the 7x7x7?
never
how much time do you spend solving 6centers?
Wait a minute, I have a question. Why do they get to look at the cube before the time starts? That seems absurd to me.
greg55666 you get 15 seconds of inspection to look at the cube
Sooooo wouldn't it be more accurate to include that in the time? It's a very strange, pointless rule. Why don't they also say you just get to hit the button five seconds before you finish? That would be good.

Sędzia: Good job
Feliks: W chuj
Dowód na to, że gość ma polskie korzenie!
XD
Do you have time to make some 7x7 walktrough solves. One, maybe two would be enough for 7x7. *pleading face*
when will you upload your 5x5 average?
Wow, didn't even know you were that good on the 7x7. :D
What happens to your left ring finger?
Do You think you can also get back the 6x6 record?
it's linglong version?
Amazing feliks keep on getting those records!!
Good job on getting the wr
congratulation, Great job man you can get more record
;)
3 years, but since when did a cubic 7x7 exist?
is ot just me or was it really around 2-3 minutes and the title made it look like 2 hours
How often do you practice 7x7?
What method? Freeslice?
Felik, the first solved 4x4 is ?min?second
7x7x7 getting a lot of attention this year!
mini SS?
Shengshou has been producing them for about 2-3 years, so not all that long.
Do you solve a gigaminx?
Felix Zemdegs is cube genius!!!!
There is a square 7x7 now? How long have I been gone from cuning?! o_o
CONGRATS!!
Your 7x7 average is faster than my 4x4 average 0_0
ikr me too O_o
same here
My 4x4 average is faster than this, but my 5x5 isn't
Isaac Timbreza Same.
Isaac Timbreza Me too

He moves his fingers like spiders moves their legs haha
5 years ago...
I love how every year on the aussie nats you break every world record basically
do you remember me from the comp? I got the 9.86
First time I see you "say": "AWH, that was SO close to WR"
On all other videos you were still calm
wow
what is your brothers name
Wat libe?
8:24 "Bonsoir" ?
Good job man!
is that a shenshoe 7x7
Do you mean ShangShou?
ya
Grady King shengshou
it is it says so in the description
ok thanks
That is an awesome shengshou
There are actually 11x11 cubes as well. But they are a lot more rare.. and I think as far as the competitions go 7x7 is the highest.
this beast takes me 20 min, i have horrible hardware though, but shengshou probably still wont let me go sub 15 even
What cube is that
mini shengshou 7x7
makes a video PLL time attack
Here you go kevin ^^*
Great! Really nice solves!
he solved it 3 times before my computer died. good night
I've got a 7x7 V-Cube and if I was as fast as him , pieces would fly all over the place :D
A fairly long while.
you do very good!
10 years old video but still can’t beat this records
was this the comp where he set like 4 WRs...
Yes he broke 3x3 avg, 5x5 single and avg and 7x7 avg
lamo543 holy cow
+lamo543 Plus OH
How come it's 3 min time but a 8 Min video !?!?!
+connie frank He does it three times in a row.
Lube ?
That's how long it takes me to solve a 3x3 lol
I like solving 7x7 edges, but I hate doing centers.
I'm the exact opposite, it takes me forever to find edges.
MinnesotaRaps Same here, I stink at the last 4 edges.
and here i am unable to solve a 3 x 3
Congratulations
Sorry to be a pedant but it's actually world record MEAN not average, seeing as there aren't any excluded times in 6x6 and 7x7
why stickerless cubes are not allowed at competitions
5 years maybe?
Look at that muscle you got.
Don't go insulting people until you know your facts. Average can be boken into three different categories: mean, median, and mode. When it comes to cubing, average is the same as mean but the slowest and fastest times are excluded. So they are different.

Just watching this video gave me carpo-tunnel.
That's faster than I solve a 4x4 and a 5x5.
