That is stellar comparison! Thank you! I was/am considering the PERST. Probably going to stick with the MAWL c1+ for now. I don’t like the idea of having to change batteries on the PERST with a screw driver. Especially if it needs to be done at night.
You wont need to if your on top of your shit, and keep your gear maintained. The batterys last much longer than any other device, even just basic white light flashlights.
Kyle Preston I have one and love it. I got a MAWL when they first came out so I had to wait a good min for the EC2 to come out. Really completes the overall package.
greywhite Yes Sir. I understand and get your point. Unfortunately, I’ve been present where mistakes were made (sleep deprived or task saturated) or battery resupply was almost non existent. So, when, not if, your battery goes dead, it’s my preference to not need a screwdriver. To each their own I suppose.
Before this comment sways people away. The screw issue is a simple fix which they sell a product for. It’s just 2 replacement screws that you use to tighten/loosen with fingers. Probably could buy such a thing at Home Depot.
Only thing I don't like about my Perst-2 so far is the illuminator can't open up as wide as something like a PEQ-15. At around 25m-80m outside with diffuser cap outside it only somewhat lights up the woods if I crank up the power to its max (1.2W). However inside it did a very good job with the diffuser cap on at low power. I think at closer range outside my Surefire Vampire did a better job with a clean even illumination. I kind of wish someone made an add on cap with a second lens to widen the beam a little more without going to the extreme that the diffuser does.
As I understand that the Perst-3 doesn't change the power of IR laser point when IR illuminator and IR laser point is on, only IR illuminator the power is changing. Am I right?
What kind of Dbal where you using. According to the 20 mW power you said the "Dbal" was, are you sure you were'nt using a Insight PEQ 15. Most full power Dbal A2 and Dbal A3 are 50 mW and the beam is cleaner than what was showing in this video.
Seeing the zone 1 burn from weapon mounting that tube makes me want to cry. Thx for the video!
Oh no I was wondering what did that. Weapon mounting a 14 is bad juju
ordered a perst 3 because of this video and im very happy i did, very good unit.
Jason Williams yes, full power units are legal to own. Known manufacturers can’t sell them though.
Liked for the UFO from 00:11- 00:15
hello, can you hold down the pressure switch or is it toggle on/off? thanks
Both the perst 4 Generation 2 that I have has the option. For both you can get a switch with it
@@justaregularguy3827 thank you!

Get the EC2 tailcap if you do.

Is this the normal Zenitco Perst-3 or the Zenitco Perst-3 Green +?
Doesn't really matter, the mW for the IR things is the same. The + only gives you more visible power.
@@Austin-kn6no this. Save your damn money since the only purpose of the vis is to zero IR during day and mess with cats.
this is a cool vid
What type of nods are you using?
so what would be cons to getting a perst? can you press one button and haver the ir illuminator and ir laser together on the perst 3? thanks
The perst has visible laser (red or green+ depending which one you get), off, ir illuminator, ir laser, ir illuminator + ir laser modes
Can you see the laser saber with your eye?
Is there any distended in ability of ir flare and ir laser between perst 2 and perst 3?
As I understand that the Perst-3 doesn't change the power of IR laser point when IR illuminator and IR laser point is on, only IR illuminator the power is changing. Am I right?
That’s true but you can change the laser power when you have it on laser only mode and it saves that setting when you flip over into the Laser+ill
Perst 3 is both visible and ir laser, with an ir illuminator???
Yes. Perst 3 has vis laser, ir laser and ir illuminator. Perst 4 only has the vis and ir laser.
Can you have IR flood and laser on at same time?
Yes. It's the setting at the top if you look at the selector switches. Ir illuminator + ir laser
