My experience with Casual 1v1s would be someone complaining "bro?!?! Ur trying in 1v1?!?! Ur so weird bro u bad lmao" and then they would leave. Weirdly enough, competitive 1v1s have been mpre fun but it might be an issue at my rank more than anything
The advice to queue against people who can beat you easily is the best I've heard from most tips. You learn more by losing than winning, always, and the more you play them, the faster you'll get, even if you don't notice it right away. Obviously there has to be a reasonable skill gap, I don't mean a gold would learn well from a diamond 2 blowing them out, but a mid to high plat definitely would.
I feel like the growth mindset is the best mindset. I couldn’t imagine being where I am today if I wasn’t optimistic and open to taking in new information. This game is hard, so why wouldn’t you try to learn from the best?
Train train train there is no short cut to aerial control or air dribbles take it from me i took 100 hours alone to put the ball on top of my car consistently and 100s spent learning aerials probably 200 hours in freeplay doing air dribble to become consistent you won't do it in a day or even a week it takes months to be able to do it and months more to do it consistently in game plus a good amount of aerial car control my advice put yourself in uncomfortable positions fly upside down side ways both left and right and of course forward hold boost don't feather it until you can control it without feathering make also make sure to go back and forth to make yourself uncomfortable In the air and correct mid flight and do that over and over again u recommend looking up kevperts aerial car control videos they still hold true to this day and I used them they were made 6 years ago and better then all car control guides to this day hope that helps cheers
As a gc3 I honestly recommend playing ranked. I went from c1 in 1s to c3 in 1s in the space of about 2 weeks. Could be different for other people though! (this is just my opinion you may not improve as much idrk)
@@Snafsy Another thing to note with casual 1s is that the chance of running into someone significantly better than you is actually quite high if you're in the Champ/low GC area and have 1650+ casual MMR. I've run into people in casual 1s who were completely unplayable who I learned a lot more from than I would from my closer ranked 1v1 matches (I'm D3 in 1s)
@@Snafsy i feel like this is very good for those who feel nervous about losing their rank. Although it shouldn’t, I know lots of people who get nervous and this just relieves that and allows them to just focus on their decision making
Aight your 1s theory doesn't sound bad ima try it, honestly i think your actually correct i always enjoy playing against better players even if i lose so this would be perfect for me 😂
i love how you actually give new tips and info instead of just repeating the other 90+ reprerated vids, props
Thanks! I definitely am trying to spread a message about what helped me

Lol 😂 can’t say I’ve had people say that, guess I’ve gotten lucky
or ppl think freestyle 1v1s are the same thing as casual 1s

I love your tutorials and also your controller overlay is really good!
I appreciate it!!
Interesting take, I’ll give it a try!
Awesome to hear!! Remember to stay positive and keep queuing especially if you find someone better!
Keep on doing these videos 🔥
Thanks man!!
good tip, ill try it out since I enjoy running 1s
Good luck!!
Best video! - lol The commentary is funny.
Hey great vid, do you think you could do a tutorial for dodge control in the air? Like flipping into an aerial or air dribble etc.
Will do! I’ve been getting a few requests for that so will do soon

You’re perfectly right, being a sponge for all information and then experimenting and choosing what works best for yourself is the way to go
Hey Snaf could you do a ceiling shot training thing, I’ve been trying really hard recently doing your air control drills but I just can’t get it right
Sure thing!!
do a tut on how to air dribble or better aerial shots

Oh I definitely agree that playing ranked is a necessity! I just wanted to point out that occasionally it’s good to use this other resource
