It's so amazing how everyone that wasn't involved with booking in WCW, and even fans saw something special in Steve Austin. I sort of feel like those with influence on booking saw him as a threat and went out of their way to box him out. Because it wasn't for lack of fan reaction. He was such a good heater in WCW. Even as a teenager I couldn't understand how The Blondes broke up when they were the best tag team on the card. And couldn't figure out why on earth they would have him drop any title to Jim Duggan in like five seconds. It was like he was rising above awful booking, just like Jericho would a few short years later.
Funny enough, Scott Steiner called Ric Flair out for this during his promo in WCW, quoting that he ran Stone Cold out of WCW out of jealousy (Flair used to be a booker for WCW). So, it’s possible that the older guys didn’t want their spot taken away from them by a younger talent with a lot of potential.
Chris Adams was an amazing teacher and was one of those that taught Austin.
Missy has been in a lot of wrestling territories back in the days. Grew up watching her. Childhood crush ✊.
