@@Cyberbrickmaster1986 yes If u search in Google, Mobil 1 Rally Championship or just Rally Championship 2000 u will see the same game I do not know if this game is famous in others places in the world. Here in Brazil it is not popular
This was quite possibly the best rally game ever made and is one I would love to see remade as, sadly, virtually impossible to run satisfactorily (if at all) on modern hardware and O/S environment. The challenge wasn't just the courses, some of which were nearly 30 miles in length, but keeping your car in a decent enough state to actually finish each season, let alone win it.
This isnt the best rally game ever made, just the first one you played when you were 10 and the kind of fun you had back then can't be reproduced now even though rally simulations are 100 times more accurate than this game.
@@BobbyAeros More like 38 :) And I actually played it's predecessor and the X Miles add on, though there was one course than that I could never get past!
@@BobbyAeros Which modern rally simulations have a full championship of real rallies with real full-length stages, all of the cars and rules of that championship, and a damage/repair/tire-wear model as in-depth as this one? RBR has better physics and the WRC/Dirt games have...well, I dunno, actually...but nothing simulates an actual rally championship like this game.
Remember playing this on the PC around 2005, along with midtown madness 2 when I was 4. Played it for years- never really understanding. Want to find it again!!
still one of the best rally games ever made, i loved the stages that could last close to 30 minutes, also it was 700 km of different track, not like the lazy devs now who overuse the same track over and over again with the same bits like in the WRC games
Oh wow so nostalgic! I remember my parents had a Packard Bell computer with Windows ME around 2001 time and it came with a box of CDs, one of which was this game. As soon as I saw that publisher screen and the game intro (with the yellow Seat) it brought it all back to me! I remember those menu screens and everything so vividly. Looking back on it, this was such a great game for its time with nice physics and graphics. Another game I used to play a lot was TOCA 2 Touring Cars, but I think I had that one a bit later!
An incredibly well-detailed and underrated game. Not just among rally sims, but amongst racing sims in general. It was hard, though, and grueling. Pretty sure those 20-30 mile stages took longer to complete than did/does driving across the Continental US in The Crew 2 lol. I'll never forget not understanding why my co-driver kept telling me about "rosehips" (9:06) LOLOLOL :D:D:D:D: and also thinking "well, my Puma's hood has ripped off, and this is a cold stage so maybe it will help with my cooling problem?" :D:D:D I still drive the Seat Ibiza today in DiRT 2.0 (even though the 306 Maxi and Golf kill it), all because of this game's cover car. Intro cinematic was awesome, too!
This is my FIRST PC game ever in my life. Parents buy it for me with my first PC (windows 98). It was so detailed, so many things in this game. Split screen, first person view in cocpit, all four weather seasons, day/night(F to who damage your lights) , cool damage system, physics, Long, short, medium courses. 🏁👍 It is not easy game. Especially for child who start going to school, but i wasnt care. I was spend many hours in this game.
I played it over, and over, and over again. I noted on paper car setups for each rally, set ups for each leg between the service stops... I played it so much, that i was winning all six rallys and the champinship in general classification while driving an A5s, Micra and Puma. Constantly nursing the car while pushing it to its limits. Despite its flaws, it was great game.
I remember playing the demo back in the day on a Pentium 3 computer. I remember it had a cartridge style cpu 500mhz 32mb gpu very little ram (probably just adequate back then) and 5 gig of storage... Windows 98 that you had to install via floppy.
Best rally simulator! I don't know if it was the game or the matter I was so much younger but this was addictive. Coasting after braking to make the car turn into a corner was very different from driving dynamics i.e Colin McRae rally but once you nail it -- it was rewarding. Good times 👍
The final appearance of the legendary Magnetic Fields name there. Their last game after being responsible for Lotus, Supercars, Trailblazer, Kikstart...
I rember it. The Colin Mcrae rally 2.0 at that time was much better game with handling and graphics BUT this one had much more realistic tracks - very narrow and long
I love this beautiful old classic nostalgia game. I have question to you FirstPlays HD, how to play this game without any problems with windows 10? When I tried to play this game myself, on every time run this game, I can't finish any track because game crashing every time before finish drive :(. Any solution to fix this problem? Thank's a lot.

on Win 7 you only need to allow only 1 core of your CPU to work during gameplay and i completed the A7 champioship no problem.
