    Thank you for the awesome styling tips. I’m 70 years young with natural silver hair color. Thought it was time to remove the younger natural dark hair which I have been coloring for past 25 years. I also let it grow from a short spiked look into a bob but it still needs to grow a couple more months to get it where I want it. I’m at home most of the time now which makes growing out from very short to longer much easier. I have a round face. I was a hairstylist years ago so I’m always going to want something fun and never afraid to try something new. The tools and styling instructions you provided was just what I needed to know. I love the style. It’s youthful and fun. Thank you again. I will refer to this often. Much love ❤️ Vicki

      Hey Vicki! What an amazing comment to see. I am SOOOO happy that I was able to help out a fellow hairstylist. This style is so fresh and modern and I can see it looking ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL on grey/silver hair. Thanks for sharing your experience using this tutorial and I am excited for you embracing your greys and going natural. At some point, it becomes a fight not worth having. Make sure to pick up some purple shampoo to keep those silvers icy and beautiful.

      @@GlamGirlGabi I sincerely appreciate your reply. It was extremely nice of you to take the time to do so. I live alone now and sometimes it’s so much fun to still see new and different hairstyles along with products I’m not familiar with. Whenever I am in a salon it still feels home to me. I will look for some purple shampoo. Do you have a particular one that you recommend? My hair is naturally very corse and of course it’s thinning near my forehead. Do you have any recommendations for styling products also? I’m usually the only one that knows how to take control of my extremely stubborn hair. Not exactly a hairstylist’s dream to work with. Sometimes I have to advise the younger ones but that’s okay. I learned in 1969-1970 therefore we seldom touched a shears but lots of backcombing and hair spray. There’s a trick to cutting with a straight edge blade to get the backcombing to stay. I tried to explain it to younger hairstylists and they look at me like I lost my mind. Lol. Shaping haircuts is so much easier with a blade. It takes out extra bulk and points as you cut all at once. Anyway, again, thank you for replying and any product information you can provide.
      Keep up with your great future and videos.

    Oh my God I never thought of it but that tip about your occipital bone in the back of your head is such a great rule! The comment about blow drying and styling hair from the wet stage really stuck out for me! I have very curly wavy hair as well and I think this is the key despite hair stylists always telling you to rough dry first! So thank you for that! Great video!

    Gabi, you are like my best friend on UA-cam, honestly, your videos are so good👍. I have a bob, and it took me some time to learn how to do it your style, it definitely works better than the way I used to do it. I have some layers though, so some of my hair in the crown is shorter. Could you please do a video on haircuts for fine wavy hair that are thinner on the crown part and how to basically create an illusion of having mpre hair at the crown. Any root sprays that you could recommend 🙏? Thank you so much in advance xox
    P.s. you mentioned a French bob in one of your video, it would be interesting to see how you cut french bob. Thanks again!

    Gabi. Hi. I’m new to your channel. You’ve got excellent information btw. Love your hair. Getting mine cut soon hopefully will be in a bob about your length. Just wondering if u have issues w static using the brush dryer? I seem to get static in my hair using the brush dryer and I’ve used a variety of heat protectant products.
    My hair shaft is fine but I have lots of hair. The texture is silky, the crown is straight and underneath is wavy. I normally let it air dry then use large velcro rollers for about 20 minutes. I’m almost 70 so I’m trying to master all the tools. This video is very educational in that regard. Thank you.

    • @GlamGirlGabi
      @GlamGirlGabi  2 роки тому +1

      Hey from Canada! How are you doing over there in Italy? Laser light therapy is an amazing thing and I have done a few videos on the iRestore laser helmet so check those out if you want more information on how it works. I think if you're consistent with it, it can definitely help to keep the follicles in the growth stage and thicken up hair and even improve the quality of the existing follicles. It's worth a shot in my professional opinion.

    LOVE the video. And the cut. And the color. I have almost always been a version of blonde, but want to try something different. You have makeup on your face but the frame I took of the back of your neck looks like we have similar skin color. Is the skin color on the back of your neck enough to go by or do you have suggestions for other things I should look at to make such a (fun) drastic change in my coloring? My cut is already similar so that would be familiar. I just need to watch the video a thousand times to get the styling down. My natural hair color is an ash blonde. A dull gray green but really takes color nicely. To me, the novice, it looks like you have a chocolate brown under tones with golden blonde highlights. Maybe a suggestion for a clip is "How to pick a new color".

      Hey! I definitely couldn’t air dry this one. It would be a disaster lol. My hair is too curly and puffy so a short bob with no layers would look like a triangle. It’s more work to style but it styles very quickly.

      Does your hair have a hard time holding a curl? You may have to start with a lot more curl (keep the iron on the hair longer and use a higher heat setting and curl more sections), so that you give your hair an opportunity to drop the curl.

      @@GlamGirlGabi I don't see a lot of set hairstyling anymore- getting a set- would that help the hair hold a curl more?

    I have always had a lot of hair but each hair strand was thin. I am not in my early seventies and losing hair strands. Can this be medical or just heredity? I understand that the father’s side of the gene pool influences how your hair will age as you do. Is this true?

      You can do it! It’s easy when you practise I promise. Wave the bottom. Curling iron the top. Takes 10 mins max.

      You want the look? You need the tools. That’s like saying you don’t like a lasagna recipe because there are too many ingredients.
