I still don’t know why Bochy didn’t keep Moore in for the 9th. Yes his pitch count was rising, but in a win or go home game 4 with your bullpen sucking all season including the playoffs, why not try one more inning? I think Moore should’ve been allowed to go until he put two baserunners on with less than two outs or gave up a run, whichever came first.

As a Cubs fan, if I were on the other side, I would have been completely shattered after that top of the 9th. The Giants bullpen just shit the bed, and now their hitters have to deal with Chapman blasting 102. All the respect to Gillespie, Span, and Belt, but they had no chance.

This game hurt. This series will always be full of what ifs? What if Baez doesn't homer in game 1. What if Romo holds the lead in Game 4. What the Giants don't give up 5 RBI to Cubs' pitchers. But in the end it's all speculation.

Cubs just look destined to win it that year. Even if the giants held there are no guarantees in a game 5 who wins. History says Giants but Lester was unstoppable that year.
