I know this is an "old" video, but I can't tell you how much this means to me. I have taken steroids for rheumatoid arthritis and found I cannot take prednisone because it makes me suicidal. My son, who was diagnosed with MCD October 24, 2022. He has had three relapses in three months. So he has been mostly on 60 mg daily and he just turned 14 last week. He has struggled so, so very much. He already is treated medicinally for depression and this medication has made it almost impossible at times for him to function. He has a therapist, the school counselor, our priest, and a great group of friends. But I have picked him up from school 3-4 times because between ADHD, depression, and steroids, he can barely keep himself together. It's been so difficult for him, but he's rarely said anything about the challenges. He's a rock star. THANK YOU for addressing this very critical piece of the puzzle. ❤️
I've taken prednisolone since 2012 on and off for my asthma.The worst side effect for me was depression,I even began noticing hallucinations and everything outside was intensly bright.I take antipressants for clinical depression which is real but my asthma is work related so I keep taking prednisolone just to get through my visious cycle.
hi how many times per year do you go on periods of taking prednisone? also what dose strengths/tapering and for how long do you usually take it? all the best wishes with your health, thank you
I have found the same to be true for me - 40 mg daily & it solves much of my mental fog & lack of drive. Wayy more than caffeine, much more like adderoll like effects
I was given them for ulcerative colitis cos I had a really bad case and I was fine for like two weeks and then suddenly became the most depressed I had ever been and now it’s almost 8 weeks later and I still feel like crap not as bad as I did but mentally not great
My 3 yr old has been put on 15ml/5mg 3ml 3x per day and on day 2 she has had a total personality change...im worried i should stop it...she is acting like shes manic and her impulse control went from good to gone.... but its for asthma and shes sick idk
Let me clarify i'm obviously not going to just stop taking the doctors advice or giving her the medicine... I was just saying I very much debated it before I realized. She was having tiny toddletRoid rage which i didn't know existed

I would hallucinate at night and have insane dreams
So strange, I have the complete opposite side effect. I feel so much happier and so ambitious on 40mg Prednisolone and its day 19 i think

I have bipolar type two they are causing me manic attacks and I was freaked out I haven’t had one in a long time
I've been taking it due to my severe allergies...
Depression kicked in HARD.....I had suicidal thoughts 😢

Prednisone is making me have a panic attack currently, I believe I am going to die

The drug makes you depressed and other stuff too.

I gained 12lbs in 15 days and always moody and angry. I had to stop
I had to take it for 8 days I got poison ivy the reason I was prescribed it i took the last pill today its a terrible drug i hate it
what if u r on 5mg once a day for life on prednisone?
Are you cure already for that disease?
And how many times in one year are you relapse?
