This is awesome, Chromium OS is an interesting distro that has a lot of potential, so it's about time more open source variants start appearing.
I hope that at some point OpenFyde images with more hardware support will appear, because honestly i would love to use it as a daily driver.

But the play store is not opening up
Gapps are installed easily but after rebooting android doesn't work.... Please help

Hello I have a problem when installing the new fyde os 15, on the installation when it asked me for my WiFi SSID and password it says "connect failed" I have a wireless internet connection does it not work with wireless WiFi? Please help I really need this for school

This is a great step for sure! Have you found a way to not fill up the memory bandwidth with mem-copies when using opengl(es)? I believe this is what prevents pi400 from doing 1080p full screen (1080p) youtube or webgl pages (or glxgears). Keep up the excelent work!

in both Chromium OS and openFyde builds for Raspberry Pi maintained by us, 1080p@30fps fullscreen works flawlessly. Give it a try!

@@hi_fydeos Yes 30FPS works, which is great! But I believe that the reason we cannot have 60fps in youtube or any full screen opengl canvas or even glxgears, is that there is some really bad memory copying going on. In those cases, CPU goes down together with the FPS as the amount of pixels go up. I am no linux pro so I couldn't tell you who is doing it, but it is interesting that it happens on both chrome (youtube or canvas) as well as ourside (glxgears) but I have heard whitnesses saying that it runs smooth using VLC or outside X (but I cannot confirm this). I you solve that, you should get a massive performance boost, and alot of happy followers. :)

Hello, will you be working on ASUS trackpad compatibility? Many laptops I own are ASUS branded and the trackpad never works on FydeOS, only CloudReady and Windows. I am in the telegram and tried the patch mentioned but it didn't work.

uh was excited with this and finally found use for my pi 400, which has terrible youtube performance in other OS. but $12 per year for hardware which i got for $30??? is there way i can install free openfyde easily just like fyde os??

No need to even install, just flash to SD card and off you go. It's free, as in free beer, but no OTA, you will have to do most of the maintenance manually.
