More than 20 kings of Armenians were emperors of the Byzantine empire. The Armenians made a huge contribution to the Byzantine Empire, culture. So you can see the ornaments in St. Sophia Cathedral in Constantinople and in other cities. And in Italy, too, there are cathedrals built by the Armenians. Not to mention the island of St. Lazarus in the Gulf of Venice, which is wholly owned by the Armenian Apostolic Church.

Thanks, brother! I greatly appreciate your videos about Armenia. They're dynamic, informative and... DELICIOUS :).
Just one little thing: Armenian word "kenats" is not the equivalent of "cheers!". Rather, that means toast, which is basically a short (sometimes long lol) speach before drinking. However the way you pronounce the word sounds like "gnats", which can be translated as "here we go"! which sounds cool. Armenia as well as the whole Caucasus have nice tradition of toasts. They tell stories, parables with a moral lesson about friendship, parents, motherland, etc. Thanks again, my man!

Akisha Soyadi the areas west of current Armenia in the map all the way to the Black Sea were Armenian populated towns (Erzrum, Kars, Mus, Van, Ardahan, etc.). There were 2.4 million Armenians living there and owning the entire real estate. In case you didn’t know, 90% of those cities were populated by Armenians and lands were owned by Armenians for centuries. These people had been living in those lands since the Kingdom of Armenia days and were rightful owners of those lands regardless of which empire took over throughout the years. During the Byzantine-Sasanian wars, Kingdom of Armenia was ultimately partitioned into Byzantine Armenia in 387 and Persian Armenia in 428 and so on but the Armenian people and those lands were inseparable until 1915. I think this should explain the map in the video.

@@anizakaryan6723 living in a certain area among turks and kurds doesnt change the fact that those lands were not called armenia in 1914. that map is a fairytale and based on simply nothing. it was the ottoman empire in 1914 and turkey after that. if u look at the link u will see that armenian population was well under 10% in those times and not 90% like u claim to be. fanaticism and nationalism has blinded you people from seeing the truth. turksandarmenians.marmara.edu.tr/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/1914-Y%C4%B1l%C4%B1-N%C3%BCfus-Verileri.jpg

Akisha Soyadi Ottoman Empire was not a country. It was an Empire from sixteenth to eighteenth centuries that controlled Southeast Europe, Southwest Asia and North Africa. It’s like saying all that was one country. It was not. There were numerous countries within the Ottoman Empire. At its peak it even included Egypt, Greece, Jordan, etc.). As for it becoming Turkey afterwards, the Treaty of Sèvres signed by 14 countries (including Armenia) and Ottoman Empire gave all those lands in the map to Armenia in 1920. It was signed during Woodrow Wilson presidency and United States was one of the signers. 3 years later in 1923, the Treaty of Lausanne signed by only 8 countries (including Turkey but missing Armenia) took those lands given to Armenian by the Treaty of Sèvres and gave them to Turkey. Except the didn’t get our consent on it and hence Armenia never signed the latter treaty. Imagine some other countries signing a deal that half of your country is given to another country but never get your country’s signature. So unbelievable don’t you think? Also, let’s not forget that those 2.4 million Armenians legally had purchased and paid for most of the real estate within the map (Mus, Van, Erzurum, etc.). After 1915 when Armenians were forced out of their homes, those lands were resold (to mainly Kurds) for the fraction of the worth by Turkey and the process went to Turkish government. But that real estate didn’t belong to Turkey to sell! Imagine the current value of those lands. That belongs to the descendants of the people that held title to those lands.
