Great information. I moved to Kyle about a year ago and have been very interested in fly fishing for Stripers on Canyon Lake.

All that stripping looks like work. I guess that's why you see us old out of shape guys chasing stockers lol. Glad you had a good trip and thanks for sharing. Been many years since I have been in that area.

I know this video was about TX but I’m looking to relocate to Tulsa OK from Colorado. What weight fly rods do you use? Do you have a preferred sink fly line/taper for bass? I have rods in weights 3, 4, 5, and 7. Appreciate any info you can share. Your OK videos have been a huge help in researching eastern OK. Thank you!

There is definately not the trout waters in Oklahoma like there is in Colorado. But there is a ton of water and so many species that are fun to catch on a fly rod here in Oklahoma and Arkansas. I have a 5 and 6 weight I use for trout. I primarily use a 7 and 8 weight for bass. When fishing for Smallmouth and stripers, I usually have a rod rigged with floating line and a rod rigged with sink tip. I've been running some rio big nasty sink tip that has been a pretty versatile line for me, but alot if it just depends on where your fishing and how fast and deep you need your fly. Glad the vids have helped you man.
