Felicitaciones muy bueno e inspirador!!!!.... lo fundamental son los anclajes para el viento, no solo del techo sino de toda la estructura. Saludos

Thank you! Yes, just the front to sort out after the roof motor has been installed.

@@frosthastrophotography very jealous!. I have the space, but no view in my sloping back yard here in (not so) sunny Sydney, Australia..living vicariously through you.

great build , i am surprised that they let you that close to the power pole

Coming right along. At least with that pole at the end, you will never be able to roll the roof completely off the track. I don't think you are sacrificing too much from the western view since your targets in that direction would be shining through too much atmosphere anyway at that low elevation.

congratulation! it works amazing and look really nice!!! definitely i 'm loving with this stuff , i would put a mechanical stop on light pilon side .. just in case … has the chance that that pilon could be moved in another position ? it is really a pity obstacles …

Great video, just like the previous ones! Hard work, and cool result!
Actually I'm curious what kind of solution you're going to use against windstorms. I mean the roof looks pretty heavy, but a very strong wind can blow it away if you don't "anchor" it somehow when it's closed. This spring a strong windstorm blow off the rolling roof of the observatory of a friend of mine here in Hungary. However the roof was over 200 kilos, but he used wooden locks. The wind broke all the four of them. Strong, metal locks needed.

Thank you so much! You are correct, and I do need a solution, but I don't have one yet since I need to wait for the gate motor and gear rod to be in place to figure out where I can implement such a solution. I will have something locking the roof down in fully open and fully closed position without having to manually handle it.
