I disagree. Though Thorfinn has not mastered his Thors philosophy, he became what Thors wanted himself and his son to become. Doing so he became the true warrior, going as far as to fight vikings barehanded. And time and time again, Thors announced he is not a true warrior because he has to rely on a sword, Thorfinn does not.
Nice list but Snake is actually the one the trained Thorgil. Idk why everyone always seems to forget this and Thorgil got scared when Wulf showed up to back up Canute. Honestly Thorgil is only Wulf’s tier or lower if he ran from Wulf.
As strong as Snake is is hard to say he’s stronger than Thorgil as Thorgil is more battled hungry, physically more imposing and almost as skillful

Pretty good list tbh, the only real complaint i can say is that i would say askeladd and hild being a bit too high. Hild wouldnt probably win with some people below her in actual battle conditions, she can only make the fullest in guerilla style warfare, and askeladd is probably about equal to snake based on thorfins statements. Also i would probably switch Bjorn with Vagn, Bjorn wasnt that impressive if we scale him up to other top fighters.
Don’t say how askelad is too high I think this is the lowest spot you can put him in battle iq is included in strength he had thors killed killed Olaf beat Thorfin multiple times he never lost a true fight except to thors Askelad could kill anyone above him because his battle iq is so good
@@ogghoul1511 how he killed thors it wasnt even battle iq xd, it was only because thorfin was on the boat too. Literally even Snake would already wreck Askellad as thorfin said he was faster than askellad, you cant win with battle iq only, strongest opponent that askellad defeated was young thorfin consumed by rage and not thinking clearly lol

I would have put Askeladd and Thorfinn before Thorkell and Snake before Thorgil for the battle IQ.

I think that Thorfinn is stronger than Thorkell, but I don't think the same about Askeladd.
@@ElEdenaRuh And you are right, they literally said it. Askellad was only able to beat Thorfinn because he knew him very well and knew how to controls Thorfinn's emotions. I'm sure Thorkell said he'd beat up Askeladd, but I'm not sure if Askeladd said the same, but probably, as he avoided at all costs to fight him, it would be logical to assume that, even though he knew his weakness, Askeladd couldn't win against Thorkell.
Also, if I'm not mistaken, present Thorfinn could defeat barehandedly Thorkell, since he defeated Garm without any weapons and Garm was claimed to rivalize in strength with Thorkell.
@@Lalo-sq8xo even tho he was considered as his rival...i dont thorfinn would just defeat thorkell with barehands...he should on equal terms with thorkell...perhaps a little stronger or lower....but barehands is too exaggerted...
@@Emperor46 It's just speculation, but (Spoilers ahead of course) present Thorkell and present Thorfinn are different from what we've seen in the anime. Let's keep in mind that when Thorfinn defeated Thorkell he had his arm broken and was about 16-17 yo. while Thorkell was around 50 yo. (Yes, Askeladd helped him, but it was just a tiny distraction and Thorfinn learning about his weak point, which he surely hasn't forgotten about.)
Present Thorfinn is around 23-26 Thorkel is at the doors of his 60's, he can't hold the same strength he had when he fought Thorfinn, even less gain any extra. I think Thorfinn grew stronger when he realized the meaning of being a true warrior, and Thorkell, as I said, not only is older now, but is missing an eye and some fingers, that sure has to mean he's even slightly weaker than he was.

hild is the most powerful .. she has a fast reloading bear-killing crossbow, thorfinn was one of her worst matchups and she still won, she could easily kill thorkell since he can't dodge crossbows and probably only garm can beat her thanks to his speed
Thorfinn almost killed thorkell. He was severely injured and was a KID.
It was a trap, Thorkell only has ONE weak point, it is difficult to touch him.

I never understood how in the very first few episodes, how tf Askeladd was able to land some cuts on Thors when Askeladd gets slammed by Thorkell and Thors literally grabbed Thorkell's axe by the hand and destroyed it and knocked him out cold. I mean i get how he died at the end there because he was obviously outnumbered with bowers aimed at him, but the 1v1 duel between him and Askeladd made no sense

Snake beats thorgill imo, and Askeladd beats an unangry Thorfinn. He has brute strength and skill but he also has the cunning which makes me put him over Thorfinn.

Askeladd is first in terms of tatics, strategy andbattle IQ but he lacks the power
He does have a lot of power, just not as much as Thors, Thorfinn and Thorkell.
He was able to put up a fight against thors (who one-shoted Thorkell), cut person in half with single handed sword Striker and held out entire army of vikings. He is a real beast imo

Askellad isn’t stronger than Snake or Thorgil. I love askellad but Thorfinn even as an adult compares the jombs Vikings to Snake saying they aren’t as fast as him. Or when Thorfin made a direct comparison of snake to Askellad saying he’s faster just from one slash of the blade

@@youngakillo5392 Not confirmed. Askeladd had waay more screentime than snake in the manga so its easy for u to say that he is stronger when in reality he isn't. We really don't know which is stronger because we know so little about snake other that he most likely was a body guard of the eastern roman emperor which had battles that would make the vikings raids at the British isles look like a kids playground.
Know that even tho Askeladd is in the 4th place and slower than Snake, he managed to defeat 3rd, 2nd , and the 1st place.
