I have 2 Taurus G3 9mm pistols, 1 G2C 9mm, and 1 856 Defender 3". I put TruGlo Professional sights (tritium/fiber optic) on the G3s and the Ameriglo tritium sights on the G2C. The 856 Defender came with a tritium front sight. Yeah, the tritium sights took the G3s over $350.00, but they were worth it. All of them have functioned flawlessly. Today, due to some back problems related to sciatica and spinal stenosis, I am wearing the 856 in a 1791 holster and do not feel like I'm undressed.
Just added these Ameriglo sights to my G2C and love them and they fit great and poa/poi is pretty dead on at 7yds .. the tritium is nice and bright in the dark, in light i love how the orange dot really stands out and quick to aim
I had the same issue and installed TruGlo night sights. Unfortunately the rear is not height adjustable, so it's basically like the stock sight all the way down. It shoots a smidge low on paper, but for self defense it wouldn't matter.
I got these after watching this video. I love the way they look, but they shoot low for some reason. about 3 to 4 inches low at about 20 feet away. This is with the dot right over the target.
@@Leepegues I checked. Well seated. Still shoots low. I shot a different gun to make sure it wasn’t me. Maybe a bad batch. I’ll be returning. Thanks for the suggestion.
I could never find the night sights to fit my G2C. I put some cheap glow sights on mine that work. They're metal too. Had my pistol for 2 years. I'm going to either get the new Taurus G3 Tactical or a .40 cal G2C when I get paid.
One of the Two supplied with the sights. I ended up making a shim out of a Dr Pepper can aluminum. I’ll eventually take about .004” off the front sights “hub” that extends below the its’s threaded hole. BTW, Taurus clearly says sights should be installed by a qualified gunsmith. That usually means some fitting may be required. It’d be nice if they let you know before ordering.
I don’t see a difference in those sights and the original sights other than the front dot being bigger and the rear sight being non height adjustable, which defeats his whole argument from the start, why not just put a laser or red dot on it and call it a day.
Red dot or laser just leaves more room for failure in the field. I want a solid set of fixed sighs. Factory sight would not hold zero because they are adjustable and we’re defective.
@jcarney42 because regardless of how many times I would adjust my elevation, after one range session, they would fall back out of alignment. They won't hold true.
@@jimmywatson468 I am having the same problem. So it just isnt me, my problem is the elevation isnt holding after adjustment and windage adjustment also a little shaky. I will try these new sights. (amerigold). Thanks for the video. Excellent information for G2C owners.

Have these on my 709 slim, same sights as g2c. Taurus should have shipped them like this!
I agree 100 percent!

Interesting are they seated all the way down?
Mine are about dead on at 25 feet!

Those look really nice. Hopefully they perform well for you and stay zeroed in
They performed great! Was a little worried at first!
@@Leepeguesupdate?

Question: how many threads are unused at the front sight post. Tried to look close at your install but could not tell.

This is definitely the way to go with night sights! You will be pleased with these sights on your Taurus
Where did you get the cheap glow sights? Can only find Amazon ones and reviews are dodgy
My front sight screw bottomed out and the front sight “wiggled”.
Which screw did you use?

Yea i need this on my car gun
How tf y’all take y’all front sights off so easy I’m struggling like mf🤦🏿♂️
Is it tight?
Use a heat gun on front sight to help loosen the factory loctite or you may strip the allen screw.

Those sights are garbage. That's why I put a laser on mine.
Care to explain why they’re garbage?

@@jimmywatson468did you use your stock hardware or the one that came with the sights?? Did you use lock-tite??? Probably not
@alejandroochoa3541 the windage holds fine. It's the elevation that won't hold.
