As a truck driver I can assure you that a gas engine beats a diesel hands down when it comes to reliability...todays diesels are very problematic! If you need pulling power because you tow full sized truck behind you or a heavily loaded trailer and or hilly terrain then go diesel but count on higher maintenance costs...Thor/Ford should up the ante by adding a turbo to the gas engine and increase pulling power.
Finally Thor made these rigs attractive. The interiors on older models are hideous. Now if they could make a diesel version so that I can take a golf cart in the back and tow the boat behind me, that would be great!
Putting the struts for the storage bin doors on the bottom was not a smart idea. They will either get in the way when you’re accessing the bins or broken when you accidentally drop something on them.

They do make a diesel they didn't say what they were showing.
Thor Outlaw is not a diesel. It is Ford F-53 chassis with 7.3L V8 gas engine.
Where do I find this motorhome?
I suggest you check with local RV dealer. This particular unit was at Florida RV Supershow.
