Manco makes a good go kart. I have a manco helix 6150
Couldnt you have cut the lower tube frame below the axle on each side to make a relief section and just drop the entire axle assembly down and out, including tires and all?? Then put everything on the new axle and hoist it vertically into place?? Seems a waste to chop up the hex axle. Could have been used or sold for another project

I have the same kart and I am trying to swap the axle because the brake wobbles and the rear end seems to be causing it to be harder to push.

Can you put new links for the front wheel hubs that the wheels connect to and steer with. The one I have is damaged and I cant find the right type. Hope you can help.

Why not just cut the bar under the bearing hangers so it could have dropped out freely and be reused? I see you replaced the front tires also with some sort of V tread.

There has to be something seriously wrong in the production line if a company decides to lose money by installing a more expensive variant of the same item in order to safeguard against plant worker error. I mean...what were those guys doing in there, playing the humba on a dime between carts? :))
