I dont think its worth the tradeoff of having uncomfortable shoes/walking uncomfortably. Personally, if you really care about creases, just buy some shoe trees and stick em into your kicks when you take them off. I prefer wood ones as they also help absorb the moisture from inside, they are a little more expensive but definitely worth the upcharge. Or just let your shoes crease, obviously im not going to buy a new pair of shoes and intentionally crease them/walk in mud. But if it happens, then it happens, its part of having shoes and gives them character!
I bought the cheap ones a year ago, they are just plastic and they eventually bend and warp all out of sorts because of the heat your feet produce in the shoe, and it’s worse if you live in a naturally hotter state so the cheap ones are completely useless after like a month or two
When I was a teenager I made stuff like this out of cardboard and duct tape or kept the cardboard that came with some shoes and taped them up so they last a while

When I got crep guard instead of keeping the sides where it goes on the side of your feet I cut them off and it’s way more comfortable without the sides and it still works perfectly fine
