@@devanlolll agreed. Specifically at new walnut both sweepers before the finish line are phenomenal when you keep RPM’s high and break that back tire loose to get the trajectory needed as opposed to basically being bound by the previous OEM’s.

@@HeavyK_MXB yeah I’ve also noticed like landing a little crooked is more manageable like irl. Just all around I really enjoy the new bikes. I think a lot of people are mad because the days of going around a flat corner at 900mph with the handle bars dragging are over lmao
i really like how the bike just slides into corners i think its much more realistic and like you said it opens up more line choices and it just sound amazing Great work from the OEM team
100%, all the people complaining and saying they hate these bikes might as well go play MX vs ATV lol, they just wanna be able to abuse the game physics and go as fast as possible. As someone who likes to play MX bikes as if I'm really riding a dirt bike, these are perfect
@@HeavyK_MXB yeah, it feels stupid with the traction now, these bikes will be the future, ive started to get into 250's but idk if i will with the new bikes bc all the tracks i bought just arent possible with the 250's but with these bikes im buying all the passes
I loved the stability of the bikes and the control of the rear slide. Really can have some fun with it when you drift around an entire corner perfectly. The decrease in power from the traction changes was initially a deterrent but with future tracks being scaled or current tracks being rescaled it will be a great update
I love the new bikes. They feel more natural to me. I feel like the only negativity associated with the new bikes are people threatened by change. Real world riding knowledge is more applicable with these bikes imo.
These bikes are great definitely going in the right direction. Wayyyy more realistic and just just a right trigger game. Brings back a lot of enjoyment to the game. I think just needs a tiny bit of traction added to the rear and they would be perfect.
I like the preview oems this time around. First session was meh but the 2nd clicked. Few things I found that I really enjoy. 1. Hip jumps am now able to actually turn in air and have the camera follow, still isn't perfect but a step in right direction I think. 2. Krakenberg is totally doable and rather easy now. Snowy big braking downhill is still wonky but hill climbs, tight turns, even tight turns on hills, all really nice now I think.
Been following this game on a couple channels (yours & reaperdoc’s) for a few years now. Dk if or when I’ll buy a new computer & the game but over these years I’ve often wondered why rear tire control/steering wasn’t a feature in MX Bikes. Awesome the oem team figured out a way to implement it 🤘🏼
Tried these out last night! Opinion from a 250's novice player. Yamaha felt great and very solid straight out of the box. Biggest standout was the Kawasaki 250 feeling very 'twitchy' maybe its because it is something brand new. But I could barely drive it in a straight line.
Haven't tried them yet, but looks like the sliding is an excellent thing. IRL, when I ride my kx450, you need to be able to steer with the back sometimes. Love how it seems you can almost hairpin the corners.
I really like the bikes myself. I will also say, I really enjoy how you approach criticizing these mods. You’re not all negative about the areas you don’t like. You try to see a positive in it. Well done review Lynds
my impression is the bike handles bumps SO much better...the rear end is good and rewarding for proper riding and throttle control. Riding the yamaha 250 is a lot of fun. Previous OEMs I really didn't ever enjoy as it always felt like I was on a bucking bull.
i love the new bikes. i think passing will get a lot better and the bikes handle erode really well. the back tire will stay in an erode rut. so now they can make supercross smooth and turn up the erode so the riders can make the ruts like in real life.
I personally like these bikes a lot. Front end is way better then it’s ever been ( I only have 350 hours in this game) I really like that you can charge the ruts or berms on outdoors without the fear of tucking the front end. The rear needs a bit of work though. I do like your suggestion at the end of the video of adding a bit more traction so the middle and the sides of the tire feel a bit more comparable. One thing that needs to also be addressed is the 250 Yamaha bogs in 3-4 gear imo. I lengthened out the gears and it seamed to help some. I own that exact bike irl and 3rd and 4th gear don’t feel anything like these new previews do. I have about 4 hours on the bikes. I’m going to play some more today with them and get some final thoughts on the bikes though. They have been good fun so far
ive been digging these bikes in supercross. I hope the tracks next year are more like anaheim 1 and don't have crazy pre rutted corners to allow us to use the back end to our advantage and slide in and drop the corner.
these were my initial thoughts on release : Congrats to the oem team for the first good set of bikes theyve made since beta 16 please dont allow the terrible takes get the best of you this time around you're finally back on the right track: 1.these are the most realistic the bikes have felt 2.the reward you get from having proper throttle control is just fucking amazing most of the community it going to whine about the slip because they just want to hold it wide open. No body can ride a 450 the way we have been on bikes irl there's barely a need for restraint on the current bikes. just try and work on the slip on cambers it's manageable but some times unpredictable the physics in the air feel ever so slightly lighter that feels great as well the way the bake can set into a rut now is beautiful and i dont seem to explode from going other ruts anymore there's some minor tuning to work on with the slip nothing major though Keep it up guys this is the first update i havn't been disappointed with in a very long time
As a casual player who only plays for fun these are gonna take awhile to to get used to i like the ability to slide but wish they had more power or traction to make up for my lack of skill lol
maybe run some races with erode on quali version old tracks to see how the lines are gonna develop so track makers get the idea how to form ruts on new bikes
Have a track that I’ve been tinkering with the past few months that I’m almost done with. New bikes can barely clear anything lol so in a weird spot with the track now. But pretty decently fun bikes though, I gotta play with the gearing a bit more
im ngl i thought everyone was going to hate it, but i love it, it adds the thing i felt was missing the most, this game feels challenging and slowed down now, i love it. glad other people are too
Honestly they bikes handle way better the biggest learing curve is the power difference and traction I put a few hours on them and I was shredding feeling really good I just had trouble make big jumps on the them the new 450 power feel like the old 250 with a heavier feel but I think the bikes are moving in the right direction
current tracks arent made for these bikes so I dont see 'too slow' (for clearing specific jumps etc) as an argument. The OEMs have been waaay too fast. About time to slow it down.
I really enjoy playing the preview bikes. I feel way more consistent with this front end, its perfect. But the lacking rear Tracktion made rough uphills (i.e. Glen Helen, Millville) a pain. The bikes wants to kick sideways a lil too much if you dont go in a perfect straight line. Or if you dont land completely straight its the same case. Might also be a skill issue but the bikes should also accomodate for not so good players :D So yeah, a tiny bit more rear tracktion and these bikes will be so much fun
I think it should be a little bit more predictable when the back slides out. Sometimes it happens like someone lost some oil. But apart from that i really like it
I was actually pretty harsh on these at first, but after putting the 100 tires on and easing on the throttle a bit on turns these things actually rip, i do think speed needs to be up’d just a smidge on 450’s but i feel i actually rip around tough tracks faster than before and i almost dont even want to use the old oems now lol.
If they adjust the SX tracks to the bikes they might be alright but it is actually a super struggle to run any proper lines on SX with the current tracks on a 250 even going completely straight the wheel spins up too much to keep a flow through the rhythms if you try to control the wheel spin you really don’t go fast enough, I love the slip I don’t love that they seem to only focus on the tires based on the 450 abilities to hold them back and then the 250s get shafted because they don’t have the power/grip to clear shit right, if I watch a race and everyone is running certain lines I should be able to do the same in the game, I don’t even care about triple in I care about the ability to build momentum and actually hit bigger jumps after hitting a double real good. There’s no proper seat bounce mechanic they should make them faster to compensate they race in different classes as the 450 anyways who cares how fast the stupid thing is just make it a touch slower than a 450 so it is actually capable of realistic lines without 100% perfection
I think it’s a step in the right direction. In my opinion the full trigger pulled and railing everything is ridiculous. I like the lack of traction to make you have to ride more cautious and pull things closer to reality. I was also mind blown after riding the test bikes and then going back to the current oem’s at how much they wouldn’t turn.
I love the bikes game is more engaging realistic and fun on mx tracks weve already had some really close races! It just worries me for tracks we have already bought that may not ride well now like freeride as pelster has been saying
I understand they are making OEM’s which I still yet fail to understand why we race “OEM’s” in a pro series. The only reason I say this is because IRL all the factory bikes are gonna have enough power to compete with each other nobody loses a race because there bike isn’t got enough power to keep up. I do however like the bikes are different and not the same all around, however I think it’d be a good idea to at least think about making it to where every bike has the same horsepower and weight. (Within their own class) with still keeping the suspension different and handling and the way the bikes feel and rpm ranges and everything different. Along with gearing etc. I think this would give us the ability to ride whatever bike we want or feel comfortable on and there will be more variety. I mean you can’t race a Suzuki 250 because it doesn’t have enough power to keep up. There’s some lines some bikes will barely hit and others with jump like it’s nothing, just based on what their power and weight is. I just think that’s something we shouldn’t have to be worrying about.
I saw people complaining about the new bikes, specifically the 450s for supercross because they're "too slow". I suck at supercross, and I never ride 450s at all but even i was able to get on and ride the sx track properly with them. You just cant hit all the stupid lines now like quads that were impossible IRL. I think these bikes are much better
This is a sick update and I think the bikes have never felt better. I've really disliked how the bikes have felt the last little while. Like, sure they were fast, they were fun. But they weren't realistic, which for MxBikes, which is supposed to be a simulator, we should strive for realism. And I think this update is really on the right track and is gonna propel the game forward. Next the game needs a proper way to seat bounce.
Dude i was literally thinking today: when are new bikes coming😂😂😂 Btw well explained with the traction physics, i feel the same, the traction is either 100% or 0%
The bikes are slower, but it feels much more realistic. you can steer with the rear and rotate easier you just cant carry as much speed. you kinda have to ride the tire more than the bike now.
DO you just put the bikes in the bikes folder like you would any other bikes download? But obviously in the bikes folder that comes names in the download lol
lets just say this. but i hope the player count in this game drops tremendously after these new bikes come out because they are shat. just because fast guys that were the fast guys are getting beat by people with a fraction of the time played doesnt mean we need to go and f up the game for the rest of the players because yall are getting slammed. OEM team leave the damn bikes how they are and maybe just import the new front ends from the previews to the current bikes. cheerieos 😎
I don't mind new bikes but I think it silly to make them that much slower... It's ''deletes'' all the awesome content we already have. It makes it unrideable... I think it's really not right direction to take... Also, making the bikes better for the top 1 % of players is not the best thing to do also, the majority of player are casual and what something better then MVsA or comparable to SIM... As much as I like racing and pros, I think it is to the track creators to make the tracks hard, not the bikes to be hard to ride... I Considere my self in the top 1% BTW... So, yeah! I don't like where we are going with this! This is my opinion.
If I get on and don't like the bikes, Ill literally just uninstall the game... so sick of having to force myself to like/enjoy the new physics of the bikes every couple months when they change it. I still to this day like the way the bikes where when I started playing the game a year and half ago, the most.
I find it funny they still aren’t making the yz one of the best when clearly IRL they are the best if not top 2 manufacturers. The games gonna go to shit if they don’t fix the gyro and amount of slip these have. Alotttt of people will go back to current oems if this is how they’ll come.
i love that you can control the sliding now, it feels so good (also the air noise is intentional)
