- Hey guys,
I have shown a detailed video on the real-time mileage of my car Maruti Xl6 Zeta Automatic.
I have driven the car extensively in the city and on the highways. The maximum efficiency I could achieve during the drive was 20.6kmpl
The Maruti XL6 looks like a rugged version of the Ertiga. Unique to the XL6 is its SUV-like front end that’s characterized by a high set bonnet, bold grille and large LED headlights. Scuff plates add to the pseudo SUV look but the overdone side cladding does draw your attention to the XL6’s relatively small wheels. Roof rails and a dual-tone tailgate are other elements you’d find on the XL6 though there’s no escaping there’s a lot of Ertiga to the look. Inside, the XL6 feels like the premium Ertiga it is. Sure, the dashboard and even the dials are carried over from the standard MPV but the XL6's all-black interior theme does give it a more upmarket look. The faux black ash wood finish, the leatherette seats, and even the knitted roof lining are other elements that uplift the experience. Of course, among the main talking points in the XL6 is its middle row. The captain’s seats are comfy.
The XL6 is available in Zeta and Alpha trims. XL6 Zetas get LED headlights, keyless go, auto climate control, cruise control, and a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The Alpha trim costs a significant premium but also gets you leatherette seats and a reverse camera. Of the gearboxes, while the XL6 automatic makes sense for urban buyers, it is quite pricey and fuel economy isn’t great either. The light and easy-to-use manual will suffice for most buyers.

Good video. Also few to add from my experience. Petrol engines give the best mileage at 1800 RPM. Kind of sweet spot. With the maximum gear set, with 1800 RPM you can achieve the best mileage. Since your's is a four speed (equivalent to 4 gear vehicle) AMT, the mileage will be comparatively less than a 5 speed manual transmission. However if you have a six speed torque convertor (xl6 2022 model) then you can get better mileage than 5 speed manual gear box. With six speed torque convertor, you can cruise at higher speed ~ 90 kmph with RPM at 1800 - 2000. So you cover more kms at sweet spot to achieve max mileage. To summarize, 1. more gear, 2. driving at the highest gear 3. with 1800 RPM gets the best mileage. For diesel I heard 1500 RPM is good for best mileage but havent personally tested it.
It is really a good explanation brother. Thank you for explaining this, i did't know this info b4. Also mine is 2021 XL6 with 4 spd TC unit. It cruises easily all day @ 100 around 1800 rpm. It's only when u reach 120 rpm will be standing at 2.5k. On sudden acceleration engine roars till 4k rpm and the sound is awesome to hear😬

Bro Please Don’t Consider The Milage on Instrument cluster as real . Actually it’s 2 to 2.5kms less than what it shows like here you got is 20.6 kmpl so actually it is max 18.2. We too have Xl6 I did tank to tank test it was showing 20.3 but car took 11 litres of petrol to cover 198kms so the actual milage by tank to tank method was 18.00kmpl that too without ac

Naraya regen la ota paarunga. Try bharat petroleum mileage varum. City la with traffic and ac 10 to 11 is ideal. Highway la regen la otunga increase agum

In alpha u get leather seats auto headlamps and wipers with auto fold orvm. If u want these cosmetics go for alpha. Pls watch my xl6 review video i would have told the differences.

How is the 4 speed gearbox ? Does it get too noisy when going at high speed ?
Not at all....shifts are very smooth and seamless. Its best suited for casual driving. Kickdowns are very quick.

Yes the new brezza will have a 6 speed TC unit, may be it may debut in new xl6. I don't think u can use after removing the smart hybrid unit.

Easily u can drive for 500 kms considering you get 11km/liter which is possible.
