I love your microwavable Bagpuss so much I looked it up on Ebay, cos I need one too. Hope u feel bac to yourself at the weekend, and that gig goes to plan
I cannot take any decongestant because it affects me in a similar way. I’m not allergic to the main ingredient, but I’m highly sensitive to it. I also can’t entertain even a tiny dose of co-codamol because it makes the room spin like someone placed me inside a washing machine. Which is such a weird feeling because I never, ever get dizzy normally. You did a good job with the strudel. A couple of little tips for another time is to toast some breadcrumbs (just a few) and add that to your apple mix as they’ll soak up excess liquid and avoid the sticky mess clean up. Also, strudel is made with a specialised strudel dough. The closest thing we get to that ready made is filo pastry, which doesn’t need the lattice either, so again, helps avoid spillages. Hope you’re feeling more yourself today
Hi IMO, I've been listening to your woes ! I have a lovely idea to help soothe that old nose (I have nose probs along with Epistaxis - nose bleeds) It was so awkward and interfering in the day so I have taken to eating and 'using' plain chocolate - Bournville.......... On one chunk from a 100g bar that's about £1.25 - best medicine for noses...... I haven't looked back after using this (good for blood issues too) hence the nose bleeds - not had any. I used to use something from the dr. called Naseptin - it contains peanut oil - Bournville contains Palm oil, so this Bournville is doing the same thing as Naseptin....... I suggesdted it to Pippa (there was a nose thing) she might have found it weird but sometimes weird and out of comfort zone (if you can bear it) is an ok thing to do... There are worst places to be and do than try Bournville up your nose... I wouldn't just suggest it unless an ill/spill was going on. I find it a no-brainer now as they say in the states. Give it a go. Tiny piece of a chunk up the offending nostril - relieves horrible sore patches. Gabrielle
Yeah I totally get that feeling. I'm always on the forward momentum. And then I force rest and finally get the hang of that.... only to struggle to get moving again lol. And so starts the cycle again
I took Sudafed when I was younger and it made my pupils dilate, my teeth chatter on their own and I too felt like I’d taken some form of speed! It was awful and I’ve never taken it again!
My doctor prescribed me Beconase once because I'd developed an allergy to our new kittens fur . I used it once and found myself in Sainsburys supermarket and for the life of me couldn't remember what I'd gone in there for. It really shook me up needless to say I didn't take any more!
I have been fortunate to not have reactions to med's.. but hubby is opposite. Even when he's had surgery, it takes forever for him to come out of the anaesthetic. I'm very careful of his reactions to any otc or prescription med's the Dr prescribes for him and watch him like a hawk.
Interesting ..I had read that there is a substance in some decongestants that affect folk with adhd. Adhd meds have a different effect on those who are not ND. So Dexamphetamine would chill a person with ADHD and help them focus..
...uhm, so there was this awful awful and occasionally hilarious movie with Jason Statham titled Crank... well, that's where I first heard about the substance with this name I wouldn't even try to repeat 😄 edit: actually it was something different, only kind of similar, anyhow your story reminded me of Statham... running...
Yep. I was going to say I’m sure there’s caffeine in Sudafed (and some other over the counter pain killers too). No good if you’re sensitive to caffeine like me. 😆
Pseudoephedrine is a stimulant - so yes!

It definitely is a stimulant! Makes me jittery

Sudafed knocks me out lol. But then quite a lot of meds do 😊😊
I’m so sensitive to any of those type of meds. I have vertigo so used to that horrid dizziness 😢
Sorry to hear that. X
My sister says the same about ingredients and no food 😂
Yes Sudafed can make you hyperactive depending on the dose and keep you awake. You are quite an active person though.
Thanks, Tina. :)
There could be Caffaine in Sudafed check it

Yep just checked and there are plenty of Reddit threads about Sudafed being a stimulant..pseudophedrine .Well well. Ah ..you talk about it.
Sounds like a legal version off speed imo lol who would have known without reading it x
I had a shock!!

Yikes! Sorry to hear that.
I can’t actually take Sudafed it gives me heart palpitations!
Sudafed has caffeine. In the states, it stays behind the counter due to people making meth with it. 😳 Hope you feel better soon!
Yikes! Thanks for watching x

It can cause ADHD to kick in. So yes, it can make you hyper and lack focus and very random thoughts.
Yikes!
Yes it does I'mmo make you hypo😂
