I wonder what TUG The port of Pensacola is using now to do the docking for the very very few ships the port gets. The Port of Pensacola could have been bigger than Mobile. But there have always been certain powers that be in Pensacola that didn’t want it to grow. They didn’t want good paying blue collar jobs because they felt it brings dirty type companies. They would rather have condominiums and cheap as paying jobs at work in restaurants and hotels. Anything to do with tourism flat out sucks because it produces nothing but low paying jobs.
She was part of Inland River Transportation Corp IRTC / General Marine Inc GMI, Correct? Robert Lashay old company?? I believe she was. They also owned these Deep Sea Tugs. OCEAN STAR OCEAN VOYAGER / OCEAN SUN If it’s a tug that I’m thinking of her and the company that I know I should say I knew it pretty well at one time many years ago in Pensacola. It was a good company and I really hated to see what happened to it. Although, I’m sure a lot of what I’ve heard was either made up or flat out lies
I Captained this vessel for 6 years, she was a beauty, sad to see her go, I hope to get to dive the site someday....
