Not as happy as I am, Not good when you have to keep cross hiring equipment in to do your work, and the newer stuff is not quite that same - very happy to be back in 1988 😄😄
Nice to hear the old girl up and running again she definitely sounds well, looking forward to seeing her put to work in the near future. Keep up the excellent work, paul. 😊👌👍
Iv got a 1994 525-67 loadall with the same engine with about 8000 hours on it. Starts up first turn and goes realy well. Can see why you like the older kit. Nice and simple to work on and repair if you do your own maintenance. Keep up the good work 👍🏻
Thanks Joe - Yeah, just thought that it was worth pointing out the different grades of hydraulic oils. Not a lot of difference really, but backhoes have always used 32, and excavators 46. 32 is quite clear, 46 looks for like engine oil 👌
Great video once again
Glad you enjoyed it Mark 😊👍
@PSExcavationsLLC I did Great to see the 3cx up and running again
That’s a sight to see her up running
Thank you, seems like a long time waiting for me too 👌
Nice coat of paint come Summer itl be like new mines 1989 no common rail fuel or electronics for me.
Best of luck
Ha .. yeah, a fresh coat of paint - be like 1988 again 😊 Modern electrics are not for me either. I'll stick to my older stuff, built tuff 👍
Glad to hear that machine again.
Im feeling it with ya Darren, been along time out of action 😊
Sounds nice can’t wait to see her in action top job 👍

Thanks Benny - as soon as we have anything to show, it'll be the next little episode 👌👍
Great job. She sounds very smooth. Ready for work 👍🏼👍🏼
Yeah, its a smooth running engine, time to put er to work! 👌👍
Finally, she's alive again and sounding good. Nice job Paul. That was a hell of a job.
It was a long job, but things are looking good for the 3CX's future 👌
Great video 🤗
Thanks Ian 👍
Nice job. Well explained. Thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks James, we try to get it right, but we do miss little bits from time to time 😄

Well Paul , that’s the vid we’ve all been waiting for, brilliant! .
Let’s see how she preforms .
Great job 👍
Thanks Hartley. Just some fine tuning now, slow and steady for the first few jobs, break that new engine in! 💪👌
She’s a reet wee beauty
Thanks .. hopefully things can only get better 😎
Great to have the old girl back… Sometime they take a lot of bleeding up
Its great to have her up and running again. If your lift pump is working correctly, it shouldn't be too bad to blead up 👍
I hope you made sure that you had oil pressure when it kicked off
Yes we checked the engine oil pressure - good to point this out, thanks 👍
Hi Paul .. great to see some progress… What size front tires are you using .. ?. I can see they are over size …
Hi Kevin - its been slow, but we are moving in the right direction. Front tires are 365/70R18. Make a difference on soft ground too ! 👍👌
I ve a 87 3CX LOOKING for an engine for her for around the farm yard.
I would try Vicary, they should be able to sort you out with a good used engine 👍
Runs like a mouse's heart, good un bout 32 grade hydraulic - always used 46 in mine, great videos, here's hoping she wears u out !!
Thanks Joe - Yeah, just thought that it was worth pointing out the different grades of hydraulic oils. Not a lot of difference really, but backhoes have always used 32, and excavators 46. 32 is quite clear, 46 looks for like engine oil 👌
It’s 46 for my 8015
Correct. Your 801 is an excavator which will be 46 grade. A 3CX is a backhoe and should be 32 grade. 46 also works fine 😊
How many Litres of hydrolic it's need sir?
From empty, 130L 👍
